Two fathers from Sevier County, Tennessee will be on the Roth show for the hour to discuss the details their missing teenagers Kelsey Barrett was located safe and alive last night in Texas after being reported missing on April 1, 2012. For the father of Samantha Duran, still in danger and missing the family is praying that national attention will assist law enforcement agencies to find them and bring Samantha home.   (click to print and enlarge the information on the above poster with Samantha's information both in English and Spanish.

Often missing teenagers are runaways, but there are many other circumstances that need to be considered with every missing teenager who is not old enough to make intelligent life decisions. Several questions need to be asked about the disappearances of these young girls, especially were they lured by older males into thinking life would be better somewhere other than home. Any teenage runaway is endangered, whether they chose to run away or whether they were lured or abducted and often the priority to search for them is quite low. Often law enforcement does not consider the possibility of human trafficking and in a number of these very cases that's exactly what has happened.  

Samantha Briana Duran, age 14 (now 15), has been missing since January 24, 2012. It’s believed she snuck out a window in the dark and is most likely with Juan Pineda (Flores), aged 19, who is facing charges of contributing to the deliquency of a minor. They are believed to be traveling in a silver Honda and could possibly be headed towards Texas.

Several agencies are involved in her search, including Laura Recovery Center and Heidi Search Center, both headquartered in Texas. And CFSI-International.com along with Chuck Foreman who was responsible for finding Kelsey Barrett.

Shining the Light Brightly for Missing Loved Ones and Their Family

.  

In Rochester, New York  hundreds over the weekend attended the vigil for Larie Butler, 17, found  murdered in a swimming pool.  Her life was stolen by a someone she trusted, a family friend.  When Larie was reported missing on March 24, 2012, the CUE Center for Missing Person's sent in their top volunteers to assist the family shortly thereafter.

Dawn Drexel, recently named New York State Outreach Coordinator for the CUE Center for Missing Persons, brought forth the efforts and support for the family.  One wonders how a mother gains the strength to help other families as she still waits for word everyday on her own child, still missing, Brittanee Drexel, 17, who suddenly vanished in Myrtle Beach during spring break on April 25, 2009. This years marks the third anniversary of her disappearance and the family will return to Myrtle Beach for a tree planting ceremony in Brittanee's memory.

Not every family has the opportunity to bring their loved one home.  It can take days, months and often years until remains are recovered.  One agency has been the guardian, or the "keeper of the flame" for families of missing persons, since 1994.  The CUE Center is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to burning both daytime and midnight lights brightly until a loved one is found.

The agency provides support and hope for families at a time when answers just are not available.  They are an amazing group whose expertise includes, current and former law enforcement, many volunteers who are parents and friends of missing loved ones, and teams who are trained and certified in search, rescue and recovery.

The Murder of Joseph DiMare

Over five decades, the murder of wealthy produce merchant Joseph DiMare — shot in the head in his white Cadillac in North Miami on March 24th 1961 — has faded into obscurity amid South Florida’s rich crime lore.

But one man won’t let it go. To Richard DiMare, the victim’s 69-year-old son, the murder probe is a cause championed only by him. For the better part of the past three decades, he has flooded police, prosecutors and politicians with angry letters demanding justice.

Passage of The Chanda Turner Bill in Oklahoma

Little did Donna and Joe Turner realize that justice for the death of their daughter would be such a long road. Chanda Turner was shot in her home on July 12, 2000 and her death was originally ruled a suicide. Despite repeated requests, the family was denied an autopsy for almost 10 years. Knowing they would never give up fighting to get justice for their daughter, her parents buried her in a sealed casket inside a sealed crypt to preserve her body for the day when they could finally get an autopsy.

Since that time the Turners have been fighting, along with several other families, for reform of a Medical Examiner's Office in which appeals for change were not granted. Attorney Jaye Mendros of Oklahoma City was retained to help these families make changes necessary to give them the opportunity to have a legal mechanism to correct all the mistakes in their cases. The Chanda Turner Bill has gone through all the necessary judicial steps, now they await the final step. The will update the team on their journey for justice!

On January 10th, 2010 CUE Center for Missing Persons launched a campaign geared toward hunters in the region where missing child, Lindsey Baum vanished from over a year ago from McCleary Washington ; the objective is to involve the community of people who know the region and can eliminate space, in hope to bring Lindsey home. “I am so excited about this idea, it gives me hope and I believe in the hunters because they know every inch of the wilderness out there and I need more help to find my daughter”, said the mother of Lindsey, Melissa Baum.

The non profit, all volunteer group is asking for area hunters to adopt a piece of land and or property that they are familiar with or hunt on regularly to search for missing Lindsey Baum; registration will begin on January 10, 2011 and run throughout the month. Hunters may call in directly to the center at (910) 232-1687 anytime or visit CUE on the web at http://www.ncmissingpersons.org and click on “The Hunt” where they can enter and submit information (registration form below); during the effort a map will go up coloring in areas that have been adopted. “We are also extending invitations to forestry,hunting clubs and park personnel as well as land owners in the concerned areas of focus”.

Areas this effort will concentrate on will be the McCleary town itself and 15 miles radius of each direction leaving the place Lindsey was last seen. These areas consist of the following:

"The Garvin County Three" and the Holidays

The phrase :To "kill with a borrowed knife” means borrowing other people's power to help you eliminate a threat. When you lack power or don’t want to reveal yourself, you will borrow a "knife" (from an outside force) to eliminate a threat. By doing this, you are using other people's power for your own gain.  And in the unsolved cases of the "Garvin County Three," in Oklahoma , the borrowed knife was also used after each crime to sign off on each case with the assistance of the medical examiners office as suicide's, rather then homicides .

This holiday season I would like to remind those responsible directly or overtly involved in the deaths of the "Garvin County Three"  Chanda Turner, Sheila Deviney and Tom Horton to enjoy the upcoming holiday with your families.  Those of you whom now have lawyers waiting in the background I hope that one of you consider coming forward with the truth when you are either contacted and unexpectedly visited and questioned in the next couple of months.  Maybe in cooperating you will be able to enjoy future holidays with your family, something that I assure you will not happen for the others whom have, enjoyed their freedom and up until recently gotten away with murder.

Time's Up and Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit: Go Viral!

There was a successful boycott of Amazon this week because they were selling a book written for the benefit of pedophiles. While I am repulsed by anything that promotes pedophelia or harm to children, I'm not weighing in on that issue, which is out of my realm, but the campaign to boycott Amazon was something that went viral through the internet at breakneck speed, and the mission seems to be accomplished.

While I applaud the efforts, let's think about what could be accomplished if the same people whose outrages against a bookseller would unite, as well, for something equally important....saving lives of the abused.

If you would put those same efforts behind getting the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit used as applied practice in every agency, coalition, court house, police department, hospital, or lawyer's office, think how many lives could be saved.

If each of you that have received my books and completed the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit would pass on the information, just like you did by boycotting Amazon, think of the possibilities!

If you could step away from your computer for an afternoon and take the information to the aforementioned places, YOU can play a huge part in making this go viral, not just online, but in real life. Some of you are alive today because you took the time, did the work prescribed, and completed your Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit.
