The Susan Murphy Milano Show: Guest's Attorney Jaye Mendros and The Parents of Ashley Dawn Thompson at 4:00 PM EST on the Zeus Radio Network

Susan Murphy Milano and Jaye Mendros teamed up in Oklahoma in October to breathe life into cases involving botched investigations and wrong rulings from the Medical Examiner’s Office. (The Garvin County Three) Holding press conferences and meetings with families, the two of them were able to bring much needed attention to the cases represented on Mendro’s site, Justice For The Dead, which features even more cases of injustice to families all over Oklahoma.
Wednesday, December 9, Susan welcomes guests Jaye Mendros and the parents of Ashley Dawn Thompson, who was found dead on January 1, 2004. Originally ruled a suicide, there is a pattern of conduct which would likely point to murder. You can read the details of Ashley’s case HERE. We hope that by giving this case more exposure it will nudge the powers that be to do the right thing in her honor.

Oklahoma City Attorney, Jaye Mendros has dedicated her career to defending citizens accused of crimes and finding the best possible resolution to her clients’ legal difficulties.
Recently she has taken on cases involving the Medical Examiner’s Office where homicide investigations and cause/manner of death were botched by the authorities. Visitwww.justiceforthedead.com for additional information on this important topic.http://www.jayemendros.com

When A Wealthy Community Ignores Domestic Violence and Murder

A young girl's body discovered and disgarded like trash. Three teenagers arrested for the of Keighley Ann Alyea's murder. Domestic violence does not discriminate. As you will read over on Women In Crime Ink today this epidemic affects all walks of life.

One comment that caught my attention from a reader:

"This happened in one of the wealthiest counties in the nation. And, in one of the most highly educated areas of the world. How did my community fail to educate Keighley what to do in an abusive relationship or situation? Relationship abuse training and self protection needs to start early and be part of the curriculum in all schools. We can't leave it up to the parents it has to come through the educational system.Prayers to Keighley's family and friends. "

Florida Police Fail To Serve & Protect?

Over the weekened a tragic murder of 17 year- old Natasha Hall happened inside her own home. She and her mother called the police on numerous ocassions. During the last call for help, just before the teen was murdered, Police informed the teen if she called again she would be arrested. This can not be confirmed by the Deland Florida police department, apparently they have "No Comment".

So what the hell does one do if they can't call the police for assistance?

Violence and threats are not childs play. This tragedy also makes me question how this Florida police department handles domestic violence related calls, in general. And God forbid, if your a cop's wife, what they might do. This is a serious epidemic.

What the teens mother must do now is rally every judge, womens advocacy group and high school to demand not only answers, but solutions. If you are a victim please contact the National Coaliton Against Domestic Violence at 1-800-799-SAFE. You can also contact that number for programs in your area for your teenager who is involved in an abusive relationship.

DELAND, Fla. -- A Central Florida woman whose 17-year-old daughter was killed in a murder-suicide apparently committed by her ex-boyfriend said the teen was told by police to stop calling for help or she'd be arrested.

Police said Clay Coffner shot his estranged girlfriend, Natasha Hall, in the head outside her DeLand home Friday before turning the gun on himself.

Hall's mother, Sherry, said her daughter was concerned about Coffner and informed police.
In fact, Hall said her daughter called police so much that on Jan. 15 they threatened her.
"The police officer said if you call us one more time on him, I'm going to arrest you both," Sherry Hall said. "So, the day she died, she knew she couldn't talk to police. So, she handled it herself."
Michele Karpowicz said everyone noticed the warning signs before the homicide -- except police.

"I was going crazy," Hall's best friend said. "He was psycho, jealous and abusive."
Local 6 is trying to obtain a police call log to determine how many times the teen called police.
DeLand police officials have not responded to the allegations. (Source News 6)
