Christine Moretz and Intimate Partner Homicide

Christine Moretz, did not stand at a chance against her estranged husband, earlier today he shot her death as she visited a friend in the hospital, inside a medical center in Collier County, Florida.

Back in 2009, there was a documented incident where Jeffery Moretz had fired shots in the home, but no one was injured at that time. And for his reported criminal behavior he received a slap on the wrist. And today after he shot Christine he turned the gun on himself and was taken to another hospital where he is reportedly still alive after attempting suicide.

We always want answers in cases of intimate partner violence and homicide minus it seems without providing safety solutions for victims. I realize not every victim is able to break away or move to a new town or state. But why not give them a fighting chance at survival?

Just think about how many lives could be saved if society dealt with violence in the home as a crime? If tools and techniques were taught on how to be safe? No different then we prepare children on how not to talk to strangers. Or how to deal with an unexpected attacker?

We cannot bring back Christine Moretz, but we can prevent others in intimate violent partnerships that lead to homicide from meeting the same fate. Time's Up!

You want change? Then everyone must be willing to give this issue more then lip service. If you know someone in an abusive relationship, if you are a lawyer practicing in family court, if it is happening to you, a plan of action is your key to safety. The book Time's Up is based on women, like my mom, who were silenced in the prime of their lives. This is your prescription to safety. Below is a sample of the video you need to prepare, if you do nothing else, the abuse affidavit and video will go a long way,if something happens.

Looking back, I don't think my mother ever really believed my father would actually follow through and kill. But he did. Most women that I assist and keep alive, never want to believe the person with whom they enter or in end a relationship could be capable of killing.

Don't take the chance!

Once you are threatened, hit, stalked, questioned in a controlling way, a second chance to save your life, is no longer an option.

I cannot stress enough, if you are in a relationship that has a history of violence, simply mustering up the courage to confront the person and say it is over, without the proper tools, can cost you your life!

One of the major reasons women stay in abusive relationships is fear. They are afraid of what will happen to them and their children if they leave. Sadly, their fears are often justified; statistics show that a woman is at the greatest risk for injury when she announces her plans or leaves an abusive relationship.

The book "Time's Up A Guide on How To Survive and Abusive and Stalking Relationship" is the prescription, if you will, that every person must obtain before they announce they are leaving. Below is an example from Chapter 4, one of many unique tools provided in the book. It is available onAmazon.com, or you can purchase via e-book or on a cd. If you have questions, the email address is: timesupforjustice@gmail.com

Before you decide that you have had enough and are ending the relationship create for yourself the "Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit" and video (shown below).

If you do nothing else, please take one important step that if something does happen to you, if you do vanish like Stacy Peterson, Vensus Stewart, Rachel Anderson, Susan Powell, Lisa Stebic, or are found murdered like Monica Beresford-Redmond, Franki Jacobson, Renee Pagel, Summer Inman,Kelly Rothwell and others where the person responsible has gotten away with murder that your voice and record of the abuse will be captured and recorded. Do it for you friends, family and loved ones. Do it for your children. Do it for you!

Sheena Morris: Staging A Crime Scene

In January of 2009 when Sheena Morris(pictured on right) was found dead, hanging in the bathroom of a Florida hotel. Those who responded to the crime scene missed and disposed of important evidence that held the key to the killer in her case. The death certificate listed the cause as a "suicide."

Embarrassing a law enforcement agency is not the direction I want to go in this case, but detectives and the Chief of Police with the Bradenton Police department are literally refusing to conduct a "proper" investigation after the cause of death was changed to undetermined by the medical examiner back in March of 2011.

I would also like to mention that Sheena's mother Kelly Osborn has worked seeking justice for her daughter from day one. She continues to have the doors by the Bradenton Police department slammed in her face. It should also be noted that Kelly Osborn is a trained and certified SAR Tech III and aids in searching for the missing. When she is not working on her daughter's case she goes out with the CUE Center for Missing Persons searching for those we read about in the news or on the Internet who have vanished.

This past week, Kelly Osborn spent several days in the the hot Florida sun searching for missing police cadet Kelly Rothwell who vanished on March 12, 2011. She searched on a case that involved intimate partner violence almost identical to her own daughter. Kelly Rothwell and Sheena Morris were each in relationships with violent and dangerous abusive offenders. Kelly's abuser, a former New York Correctional officer, and Sheena's, a business owner with direct ties to the organized Genovese crime family out of Philadelphia.

The family has already spent thousands, upon thousands of dollars hiring forensic experts and investigators with money they do not have to provide law enforcement with the facts..

According to the forensic reports that were instrumental in changing the cause of death, the "crime scene was staged" I should point out this is a pattern of conduct consist with intimate partner homicide murders.

The report continues : "Domestic homicide committed by offenders who are criminally inexperienced and who are therefore unaware of the appearance of a genuine crime scene. Their inexperience coupled with the likelihood that they attempted to alter the crime scene while agitated or in a highly emotional state, inhibits their ability to think clearly. As a result, individuals who stage crime scenes often make unintended errors, termed "red flags", that reveal the scene is inconsistent with what is attempted to be demonstrated.

"The case represents a death in which the crime scene was altered to stimulate an intentional suicidal hanging."

The mission statement on the department Web page refusing to open this case or pass it over to Manatee County Sheriff's office states: " We, the Bradenton Beach Police Department, are committed to providing the highest quality of police services to the people who live, work and visit our city. We will constantly evaluate and improve our efforts to enhance public safety with the goal of improving the quality of life within Bradenton Beach, while at the same time maintaining respect for individual rights and human dignity."

Here we have a mother who, when called upon, responds and searches for those wanting to bring their loved ones home. The dedication of Kelly Osborn, who celebrated her birthday while on the Rothwell search, shows to us that, aside from her pain, she moves forward to help others.

At the very least, the Bradenton Beach Police department could show the same compassion and open up an investigation into the murder of Sheena Morris.

The Roth Show and Susan Murphy Milano: The case of Missing Police Cadet Kelly Rothwell- 7:00 PM Eastern

Kelly Rothwell is Missing

Circumstances of Disappearance
Kelly L. Rothwell, 35, of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday March 12,2011 as she had lunch with a friend at a restaurant in Pinellas County. An investigation began on Sunday when another friend asked deputies to check on Rothwell at her home where she lives with her boyfriend, 46-year-old David Perry. The friend was concerned for Rothwell’s safety due to “domestic issues” the couple had been experiencing, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Rothwell, who has not returned repeated calls to her cell phone from friends and relatives, did not show up for class Monday at the Pinellas Police Academy in St. Petersburg. Since starting the program in November, she has not missed a day, authorities said.

Perry, who is a retired corrections officer, has since traveled to New York, but is refusing to talk to police, He has not been charged.

Police found no signs of Rothwell or Perry during a search of their residence on Sunday,March 13,2011. Rothwell’s abandoned car — a green 2007 Subaru Outback — was found later Sunday March 13,2011 about two miles away.

Her case remains unsolved. Join us live at 7:00 PM Eastern, Wednesday, May 3, 2011 To Listen go to www.therothshow.com

Sheena Morris: Special Investigation Part 2: Intimate Partner Homicide

The above photo is not from the TMZ site of the stars, but a mug shot taken at a police station while being booked in Pinellas County, Florida on 6/27/2009, at 12:01:17 PM, for domestic battery- 6 months after the death of Sheena Morris.

Two weeks ago the medical examiner's office changed the death certificate of Sheena Morris from a suicide to now "undetermined." That alone is enough for the Bradenton Beach police department to formally request Manatee County Sheriff's office to take over with the new evidence in this case. But, Bradenton Beach Police and the Mayor are giving the family lip service, telling them to "have a lawyer contact them if they wish to discuss their daughters case."

The family has already spend thousands, upon thousands of dollars hiring forensic experts and investigators providing law enforcement with the facts. These very people elected and sworn to uphold the law are now kicking this family seeking justice as if it were disposable garbage. In the meantime, a murderer is allowed to roam free in the community.

According to the forensic reports the "crime scene was staged." I should point out this is a pattern of conduct consist with intimate partner homicide murders.

The report continues :
"Domestic homicide committed by offenders who are criminally inexperienced and who are therefore unaware of the appearance of a genuine crime scene.

Police do not interview the last, and only, person in and at the crime scene for 22 days. He shows up with Sheena's family, it's 80 degree weather, wearing a full length turtleneck, likely covering marks left by Sheena Morris as she was fighting for her life. Is it because of his connection to organized crime that no arrest is made?

The family has fought an uphill battle for the truth. Their daughter was murdered. At the very least, so that someone else is not killed, the Bradenton Beach police department need to refer the case out to Manatee County.

The driver's license of this individual whom, in my opinion , murdered Sheena Morris, lists his address in Indian Rocks, FL. The same area where police cadet Kelly Rothwell went missing on March 12, 2011, after she ended her relationship with David Perry, a former New York correctional officer. Her remains have yet to be located.

Coverage will continue for this case this week on the the nationally syndicated, The Roth Show (www.therothshow.com) on Wednesday, at 7:00 PM Eastern time, 4/20/2011

On the "Time's Up" show (listen here) we discussed the case in greater detail with Kelly Osborn (Sheena's mother); Sol Vocarro (friend of family); and Tom Shamshak (former chief of police and private investigator)

Sheena Morris case: Special Investigation on Intimate Partner Homicide

This is a rare photo captured during a happier time on January 1, 2009. Just hours after it was taken, this bathroom would become a crime scene.

The pink cup in the corner has important significance. It was used as a cigar ashtray by the man pictured in this photo, and it was still there, along with the half smoked Davidoff cigar, when police found the body of 22 year-old, Sheena Morris. Sheena was found hanging from the shower. Police, in my opinion, failed to properly log key evidence and interview the only person of interest and the last person to see her alive. Sheena Morris also worked for this man with whom she was in a relationship. With direct ties to the Genovese family, like a child on their mother's breast, from the distribution of steriods, to other illegal drugs and 2 companies operating in the State of Florida, the mini empire was now in jeopardy.

Sheena Morris had obtained damaging evidence on alleged illegal activities. Shortly before she died, the keys to her apartment were taken, she was physically attacked. You would think that the 911 call she makes to police would have an impact on the investigation, or the other facts of significance in her death that are just now surfacing, but they do not. Not even the 4 banker boxes full of files, copies of ledgers, key names and dates and other information, seen carried from the out of the apartment according to witnesses by none other than the last person to see Sheena Morris alive.

Instead, her death is incorrectly ruled a suicide by a Bradenton Beach police department who likely failed their instructional crime scene 101 class. The County Sheriff's office, who have more experience in death investigations of intimate partner homicides, should have been called in to handle this case, and because of the association to organized crime with the Genovese family.

The same person above in the bathtub photo is also that of the man suited up with the mask. This isn't a Halloween get-up either. The photo speaks for itself.

Earlier, on the "Time's Up" show (listen here) we discussed the case in greater detail with Kelly Osborn (Sheena's mother); Sol Vocarro (friend of family); and Tom Shamshak (former chief of police and private investigator).

Coverage will continue for this case next week on the the nationally syndicated The Roth Show (www.therothshow.com) on Wednesday, at 7:00 PM Eastern time, 4/20/2011.

Part 2 of this special investigation series on Sheena Morris will run on Monday, April, 18, 2011.

"Clay County Florida Community Remains in Danger"

Thus far the person responsible for the murder of 7 year-old Somer Thompson has yet to be apprehended by authorities. Since I first learned from sources how this child died it is of great concern to me, that this indivdual still, responsible for murdering Somer, remains at large.

In checking the area where the family lives, I am disturbed by the fact there are 19 offenders whom live in a one mile radius of the home. A predator living just 0.4 miles from the home and school according to the Florida Offender neighborhood registry listing a few of the offender addresses literally backs up to the court yard of the school. One predator can actually climb over their fence and into the school yard. Isn't that in violation of probation? Isn't an offender required by law not to live a minimum 1000 feet from any school? Where are the parole agents? Who is monitoring these dangerous pedators?

During a vigil for Somer Thompson just hours before her body was discovered in a garbage dump sources whom attended the virgil aledge there was a man covered up in a windbreaker (the weather was in the mid 80's), baseball cap and possible marks or scratches to the face just standing around at the gathering. So while police were trying to locate the young girl no one thought about the fact that this man could have actually shown up and possibly was right there before their eyes. Perhaps a news camera crew or an individual with a video of the that night could look and see if they captured those in attendance that evening.

The siting of the man was reported but apparently according to sources it was not followed up for a few days. Then within 48 hours of Somer's murder a neighbor was followed suspiciously by someone in a truck. She dialed 911, but was blown off for being paranoid. A week later detectives made a report of the incident.

According to Jaemi Levine, Founder and President of Mother's Against Predators Orange County has become a ghost town. The parks, playground's and neighborhood's are empty. It is as though everyone all vanished. People are remaining in their homes. The community absolutely terrified."

This man responsible is still out there. Mothers Against Predators is curious as to why the Orange County Police Department have not released the photo's of "Absconded" offenders whom are no longer living at their registered address to America's Most Wanted and other news outlets.

The community and the family of Somer Thompson have been spared the gruesome details of how this precious gift of life was murdered. Maybe they need to be told? Maybe the community needs to demand answers? And maybe by informing the community and the media a predator can be removed from society so that another child does not have to die!
