Sheena Morris Murder in Bradenton Florida Silenced by the Good Old Boy Network

Yesterday on Crime Wire with Statement Analysis Expert Peter Hyatt, we discussed the Sheena Morris case. Peter was able to review various reports and documents filed by investigator's the night of January 1, 2009.  His conclusion simply from reading the reports, homicide.

So why can't someone with authority from the State of Florida step in and re-open the case?  It appears the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are afraid to man up and step-in and undo the damage by inexperienced Bradenton Beach investigators.

The family of Sheena Morris has spent thousand's of dollars they do not have for outside experts to come in and assist with the case.  Even after the death certificate has been changed from "suicide" because of the experts to now "undetermined" they are afraid if they rule homicide this will expose the County to a law suit by the family.

This is also an election year both State's Attorney's and Manatee Sheriff races.  The community has the opportunity to vote out corruption and the "good old boy" network.  If Sheriff Brad Steube is re-elected the community can expect more of politics as usual and excessive waste of government spending and tax payers dollars..  If Ed Brodsky is elected as the new State's Attorney the citizens are merely passing the corruption baton from his predecessor on to him.

Sheena Morris and other unsolved homicides will receive justice if Peter Lombardo [Website http://peterlombardoforstateattorney.com/] whom is running for office as State's Attorney and Bill Waldron [Website http://waldron4sheriff.com/] are elected to properly service the people.

I am reminded of Robert F. Kennedy's words as they apply to both Bill Waldron and Peter Lombardo-

"[People] who strike out against injustice show the highest form of courage. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build up a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

Fear-Murder-Cover-Up-Corruption on Anna Maria Island in Florida

BridgeWalk, a landmark resort: Hotel

The walls inside the rooms at the landmark Bridge Walk Resort on Anna Maria Island in Florida were apparently thin enough for guests in adjacent rooms to hear arguing and fighting.  A call to 911 for assistance was made not by Sheena Morris age 22, but, the guests in the next room because they were in fear for the woman's life.  January 1, 2009 Bradenton Beach Police Department responded to the call for help placed by the guest. Instead of doing their job, making a domestic battery incident report, per the law, the officer's turn around accusing Sheena of being a prostitute, treating her like a criminal.  The officers did not believe a word of her story, they left.  The manager of the resort also responded by informing Sheena's boyfriend, that behavior would not be tolerated and asked that he leave.

At 2:05 PM Sheena places a call herself to 911.

To Hear The 911 Call From Sheena Click the Video Below. It is audio only.

This report of the first 911 call by the guest was not filed until approximately two days later.  More of a cover-one's-behind report, after she'd already been found dead.

Normally there isn't much happening on Anna Maria Island in the off season, except for people who've had too much to drink.  It's a slow night for Bradenton Beach police detectives so the ones stuck working that evening have themselves a poker party in the station until their shift is over in the morning.  Going on a call to a homicide, after they've celebrated a bit themselves can make for some grumpy detectives.  This equals sloppy police work on the crime scene.  Because Sheena is especially attractive, they too arrive at the wrong conclusion and her death is handled as a suicide.

At 22 years of age the life of Sheena Morris was abruptly hijacked as a direct result of intimate partner homicide.

Bradenton  Beach police never interview the guest who placed the 911 call for assistance.
Bradenton Beach police never interview the manager of the resort.
Bradenton Beach police department never test the fingernail clippings taken for Sheena and have them tested to see whose skin is under her nails.

When the medical examiner changes the death certificate of Sheena Morris from suicide to undetermined, Bradenton Beach police detectives tell her mother they aren't re-opening the investigation.

Yesterday on the show "Time's Up" we learned new information on the case from her mother Kelly Osborn. Below is the podcast.

The Susan Murphy Milano Show: "Re-Broadcast" Seeking Truth and Justice for Sheena Morris in Bradenton Beach, Florida

Listen LIVE at: Here Women Talk

The mother of murdered Sheena Morris, Kelly Osborn, will join us for the hour and update listeners on what’s happening in her pursuit of truth and justice for her daughter.
On January 1st, 2009, Sheena Morris was murdered in her hotel room, yet authorities quickly labeled it a suicide.  She was hanging by her neck in the shower by one of her Yorkies’ dog leash.  The crime scene was questionable as were the circumstances surrounding her ‘sudden’ suicide.
Sheena placed a call to 911 the night before reporting domestic violence by her dangerous boyfriend.  She even took pictures of her injuries,  a cut on her neck, and one on her ring finger.
The people staying in the next room called 911 the night before her murder to report the domestic disturbance and sound of violence next door.
Sheena Morris had obtained damaging evidence on alleged illegal activities. Shortly before she died, the keys to her apartment were taken, she was physically attacked. You would think that the 911 call she makes to police would have an impact on the investigation, or the other facts of significance in her death that are just now surfacing, but they do not.
Sheena’s family has continued their investigation to seek the truth in the death of their only child/daughter. After the exhumation of Sheena’s body and a 2nd autopsy the medical examiner changed the Manner of Death to Undetermined. Although in affidavits by Certified Criminal Investigators stating that Sheena’s death was a “Staged Crime Scene” not a suicide the Bradenton Beach Police refuse to re-open the investigation.
The family of Sheena Morris are not giving up the fight for truth and justice.  They are petitioning the Governor of Florida to re-open the investigation with the new evidence.

Kelly Rothwell: CUE Road To Remember Tour Raising Voices

Kelly Rothwell vanished on March 12, 2011. She was a victim of an intimate partner homicide crime.

Her whole life changed when she entered the police academy. One month prior to her graduation, after having lunch with a friend she headed to the condo she and her then boyfriend David Perry shared, alone announcing the relationship was ending, she was moving out and moving on with her life minus him.

David Perry, the prime suspect in her disappearance was the very last person to see Kelly alive. This follows an important pattern of conduct in the majority of intimate partner homicide crimes. Prior to Kelly announcing the relationship change, Perry had been stalking and tracking her daily activities. His violent outbursts increased. Kelly had enough of the threats. Finally strong enough within herself to face Perry and look him in the eye, verbalizes her intentions,
it is the last time she is seen alive.

The Cue Center For Missing Persons headquartered in North Carolina is featuring and including Kelly Rothwell on the "Road To Remember Tour." They are on a nation-wide tour to bring attention to Kelly case and others who are missing.

Kelly Rothwell and her family need the pubic's support as the CUE center continues searching to recover and bring Kelly home. But they cannot do this without, YOU. If you live in the Tampa Bay, FL area on Thursday October 27, 2011, from 9:30-11:00 AM there is a gathering at Courtney Campbell Causeway. This also is national domestic violence awareness month. If you are a service provider, survivor of abuse, please consider attending the event.

Help raise your voice for Kelly Rothwell!

Police found no signs of Rothwell or Perry during a search of their residence on Sunday,March 13,2011. Rothwell’s abandoned car — a green 2007 Subaru Outback — was found later Sunday March 13,2011 about two miles away.

Her case remains unsolved.

On October 31, 2001--Technology is about to change the way victims of domestic violence andstalking will be able to document and video the abuse and potential threats against their lives. It is also a unique way, once the technology is used across the country, for abusers to think twice about making their spouse or girlfriend vanish without a trace. In her absence, if the victim has completed the process, called the "Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit" it will bring an arrest and a solid case forprosecutors.

THE GOAL OF THE TECHNOLOGY:

To significantly reduce the number of homicides and missing persons per year by
providing cutting edge technology and vital knowledge that will first give potential
victims a fighting chance, a strong voice, provide valuable non‐reputable evidence that
will aid in any investigations, eventual conviction, overruling “hearsay” laws, in the
worst case scenarios and provide a powerful deterrent against would‐be attackers.

To significantly reduce the costs incurred by law enforcement, the justice system and health
care services, including insurance claims, each costing taxpayers annually.

Beatrice Ann Dickey: Taking Silence Implementing Action

I read a lot of amazing words from friends and colleagues for Beatrice Ann Dickey age 44, silenced earlier yesterday. Her life hijacked by a man to whom she was married. His weapon of destruction a metal baseball bat.

Ironically Beatrice worked in the Polk County Florida's Sheriff's office. Her boss Sheriff Grady Judd fondly referred to her as "his right hand."

When someone that we work with or is known to us personally, murdered as a result of intimate partner violence it is difficult to fathom how a person could remove such a gem of an angel.

Bea Dickey was the highest ranking civilian employee in the Sheriff's office. This should have been the best place for her to seek assistance. Inform her boss what was happening and that she was in fear for her safety. But, as a society, victims are too embarrassed to say anything. Often believing "they" can handle the situation.

Now, Bea Dickey has been silenced in the war known as intimate partner violence resulting in homicide. The Polk County Sheriff's office and the State of Florida have the opportunity to take what has happened and turn it into action. A successful plan of action I began in 1989, when my own mother was silenced by my father a Chicago police detective before he committed suicide. Since their deaths, thousands across the country are alive because of her. Polk County now has the opportunity to provide the prescription by supporting others in the community, in her memory.

The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit

An “Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit" and video has the additional psychological benefit of being forced to face reality and admit that the potential for the ultimate kind of violence exists…and that if it occurs the perpetrator will be held accountable.

The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit: A Victim’s Voice (c)(TM)(R)

Domestic violence or intimate partner victims now are able to provide information, in their own words, about the fears, dangers, experiences they have had at the hands of their abuser. The" Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit" or "EAA" records victim's stories, histories, and experiences which are preserved and stored on their behalf. These videos will provide answers to the many questions, allegations, and fears that arise when a person has disappeared, gone missing, or been found dead.

In relationships it is important to equip one's self with the proper tools before announcing "it is over." That, is what cost Bea Dickey her life. Unfortunately, hers life mirrors thousand of others across the county, victims of intimate partner violence, trying to break away from their abusive relationships with their lives in tact.

If Beatrice Dickey, or any woman found murdered or is reported missing, had done an Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit, ON TAPE, from following the information in the “Time’s Up" book ,they would be able to describe:

- threats made against her life or wellbeing, including details of how the perpetrator would carry out the threat
- incidents of past abuse that the victim has endured
- admissions or comments made to her about other victims or people abused
- where evidence or weapons would or could be located
- possible alibis that the perpetrator would make up in his defense (including identification of people who could be co-defendant’s or co-suspects)
- portray visible injuries or marks

Just think if we incorporate the only effective plan in the country and have it available for every prosecutor, law enforcement, church, family law office and social service agency across the country, lives would be saved.

Through our corporate and security technology partners we bring the proprietary training to you and your company. And you can now be trained and certified to provide the "EAA" for your clients or within your law enforcement and legal communities or private company. If you are in law enforcement, private investigations, a lawyer practicing in family related matters including custody, a social worker, medical care provider, human resource or are with an employee assistance program or a direct insurer such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Zurich N.A., AIG, Anthem, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, AllState or Travelers.
