March for Justice in Tampa Florida for Sheena Morris on Sunday July 29, 2012

If you have been following this blog, you're familiar with the case of Sheena Morris, age 22 murdered in a hotel in Anna Maria Island, FL on January 1, 2009.

The intial death certificate stated cause of death as "suicide."  The lack of experience by the responding "detective's" at the crime scene make  the character created on the Andy Griffith show- Barney Fife look like a genius.

I presented the Sheena Morris case including the original  crime scene photo's at the Indiana Coroner's Annual conference this past weekend.  The response of over 400 deputies and coroner's in attendance, the photo's clearly indicate homcide.  Why hasn't the case been re-opened since the medical examiner changed the death certificate to "undetermined?"

I explained to the audience that the City of Bradenton Beach, Manatee County and State of Floirida are refusing justice because they are afraid of being sued by the family of Sheena Morris because they flucked up the entire investigation.

If you can come out, lend your voice show support or re-post this on your twitter and facebook accounts, it will show a collective force of action in the name of justce4sheena.com .  The family is asking for the case to be re-opened.  Bradenton Beach Police are refusing to do their jobs!

A $10,000 REWARD is being offered to the person providing information that leads to an arrest & conviction for the murder of Sheena Morris on January 1, 2009

Crime Wire: Digging Deeper Into the Unsolved Murder of Sheena Morris

You can hear Crime Wire Investigates beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Please visit our Crime Wire Website.

Together we can make a difference.

LISTEN LIVE:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/insidelenz

Join the Crime Wire Team as we welcome Kelly Osborn, (Sheena’s Mother) and Guest Host, Statement Analyst Peter Hyatt, to dig into some of the facts surrounding the investigation, or lack thereof, of the unsolved death of Sheena Morris, a beautiful 22-year-old.

Dr. Michael Berkland, a Forensic Pathologist who, along with Dr. Michael Baden, re-examined the medical examiner’s reports and both agreed that Sheena’s death was not a suicide.  The family has since been able to have the manner of death changed to “undetermined” on Sheena’s Death Certificate.  The authorities in Bradenton Beach, FL are not willing to re-open the investigation, even in light of these findings.
On January 1, 2009, Sheena Morris was murdered in her hotel room, yet authorities quickly labeled it a suicide.  She was hanging by her neck in the shower by one of her Yorkies’ dog leash.  The crime scene was most fascinating as were the circumstances surrounding her ‘sudden’ suicide.
Sheena placed a call to 911 the night before reporting domestic violence by her dangerous boyfriend.  She even took pictures of her injuries,  a cut on her neck, and one on her ring finger.
The people in the next room called 911 the night before her murder to report the domestic disturbance and sound of violence next door.
Sheena Morris had obtained damaging evidence on alleged illegal activities. Shortly before she died, the keys to her apartment were taken and she was physically attacked. You would think that the 911 call she made to police would have an impact on the investigation, or the other facts of significance in her death that are just now surfacing, but they do not. Not even the 4 banker boxes full of files, copies of ledgers, key names and dates and other information seen carried from the out of the apartment, according to witnesses, by the last person to see Sheena Morris alive.
Instead, her death was incorrectly ruled a suicide by  Bradenton Beach police department. The County Sheriff’s office, who have more experience in death investigations of intimate partner homicides, should have been called in to handle this case, and because of the association to organized crime, but for some reason this case has remained untouchable by investigating authorities.
The family of Sheena Morris are not giving up the fight for truth and justice.  They are petitioning the Governor of Florida to re-open the investigation with the new evidence.

The Susan Murphy Milano Show: "Paradise at Anna Maria Island Ended in Murder"

Near the Beach Rentals on Anna Maria Island

Anna Maria Island is located on the Central West Coast of Florida, tucked in between the tropical blue waters of Mexico to the West and Tampa Bay to the North. It's not just amazing vacation spot and where couples around the globe plan their wedding, but, Anna Maria Island is the home of an unsolved homicide.

The case is unsolved for only one reason, the Bradenton Beach Police Department, one detective in particular, refuses to allow the case to be re-opened.  In March of 2011, the medical examiner changed the death certificate of Sheena Morris from suicide to "undetermined."  This is new information and warrants this case to be properly investigated.

On January 1, 2009 Sheena Morris was found, deceased, in a hotel room at the Bridge Walk Resort in Anna Maria Island, Florida.  According to crime scene photos, and Dr. Michael Baden and Dr. Michael Berkland expert opinions, Sheena Morris was murdered; the bathroom where she was found a "staged crime scene."

This time of year is Anna Maria Island's biggest season. Tourists from around the country bring their families to this amazing vacation paradise. Couples spend their honeymoon on the beaches. Shops and restaurants benefit from the dollars spent by the visitors.

Sheena Morris was a visitor, as matter of fact the Island was her favorite place to vacation or get-a-way for a few days. But, she never left the island, a victim of intimate partner violence that lead to homicide. Sheena was taken out in a body bag from her room at the Bridge Walk Resort.

Tourism dollars also pay for the salaries of the Bradenton Beach Police Department. Comforting isn't it, a murderer known to detectives is sharing the beaches with the tourists this summer, perhaps buying you a round of drinks at a popular island bar or restaurant, or, if you own a home, laying your carpet.

On the Susan Murphy Milano show Time's up we will be discussing tourism, fun in the sun and the murder of Sheena Morris with her mother, Kelly Osborn, who has fought for her daughter's murderer to be arrested, only have the doors slammed on her family by the Bradenton Beach Police Department.
