How To Leave and Survive Abusive and Stalking Relationships

With so many high-profile cases of missing women in the news, unsolved, suspicious deaths and cold cases wherevictims seeking a divorce have vanished without a trace or found murdered, I am urging everyone to speak out by spreading the word that a prescription for safety is now available. The video below is one key ingredient to a victim's safety.

I often hear women involved in domestic violence say, “I cannot leave or I'm unable to even pack a bag and sneak it to the car.” Another common problem is when a woman says, “He is constantly watching me, stalking me or he has a tracker on my computer, cell phone or vehicle.”

For most victims the fear of getting beat up or even killed by their significant other if they are caught trying to leave can be paralyzing. Most victims of domestic violence and or stalking do not realize that the person in the relationship is committing a crime. Domestic violence and stalking is against the law.

But for those fearful or unable to seek service from a domestic violence shelter provider, there is a book available that will take a victim from living in fear to a plan, with a roadmap to safety.

The abuser has a plan to control, manipulate and harm. A victim must have a plan that involves being ten steps ahead of their husband or boyfriend when they cannot call police or seek services outside the home because it could be too for the victim and her children.

Remember, the most important step a victim must do is prepare before they announce the relationship is ending. If something does happen, if you or a loved one suddenly goes missing like Stacy Peterson, Vensus Stewart, Rachel Anderson, Susan Powell, Lisa Stebic, or are found murdered like Monica Beresford-Redmond, Franki Jacobson, Renee Pagel and others, where the person responsible has gotten away with murder, the victim's voice and record of the abuse will be captured and recorded (see below). Do it for your community, friends, family and loved ones.

Do it for the children. Do it for you!

I cannot stress enough, if you are in a relationship that has a history of violence, simply mustering up the courage to confront the person and say it is over, without the proper tools, can cost you, your life!

One of the major reasons women stay in abusive relationships is fear. They are afraid of what will happen to them and their children if they leave. Sadly, their fears are often justified; statistics show that a woman is at the greatest risk for injury when sheannounces her plans or leaves an abusive relationship.

Still No Word on Police Cadet Kelly Rothwell!

Here is an original idea for the police academy in St. Petersburg where Kelly Rothwell was training to be a law enforcement officer, allow those in her class to immediately go out into the field and investigate her disappearance? Take a real life situation of a missing and abducted person out from the classroom and apply it in the field for Kelly Rothwell. It is the very least everyone can do.

Headline's in the news such as "we are not cleaning up her desk" is wasting valuable investigation time. As I wrote a few days ago time and evidence are vanishing (see list below).

Kelly was going back to the home she shared with Perry on Saturday to inform him it was over. She was moving out and on with her life. That is the last time anyone has heard from her. Perry was the last person to see her alive. According to law enforcement, this coward fled to New York, he refuses to cooperate with authorities, playing the offender's game of "catch me if you can." In my opinion, law enforcement must not waste precious time they need to consider the following:

• For the Sheriff's office in Indian Rocks Beach Florida, time is important if they are to obtain evidence that may already be lost. Her car has already been located and there is likely not much in the way of evidence, Perry is too smart for that.
• Law Enforcement need to obtain a warrant and have Perry's car impounded.
• If his plates are Florida, they will have an easier time, it depends on what residence he has on the drivers license. Kelly Rothwell's cell phone pings need to be captured immediately.
• A warrant needs to be issued immediately by a Florida Judge so law enforcement can gain access into the condo. They can also serve the condo association and gain immediate access. The trap to all the sinks (elbow) need to be tested to see if there is blood still there. The same goes for the showers and bath tubs in the unit.
• Garage shoots and dumpsters on the property need to be gone through, regardless of whether or not a pick-up has occurred, they might pick up traces of blood.
• Cameras on the property or from surrounding buildings need to be checked.
• Sun Pass toll activity on his car needs to be investigated because he went through tolls to get to New York.
• Gas stations and ATMs within the area of the condo with a description of his car is also a way to detect activity.
• Home depot and hardware store activity should be checked.
