Tiffany Hartley: A Call To Action: Part 2

by Susan Murphy Milano and Peter Hyatt

On part one here yesterday, we challenged the media to ask some important questions including treating this woman, Tiffany Young-Hartley as at the very least a person of interest.

We have been encouraged by the responses to a call to action thus far, and encourage any journalist who treasures the word "investigative" with their title, to respond.

Levi Page is one such journalist who has committed himself to justice; though not always in step with popular media hosts, he has refused to turn a deaf ear to the obvious and join in calling Tiffany Hartley "courageous" or a "voice" for America. He will continue to cover the case, also seeking justice for David Hartley and his family, on The Levi Page Show on BlogTalk Radio.

Journalists, with dogged determination, can dig and dig until the truth, no matter what it is, is uncovered.

But what of law enforcement?
If a man drove up on a jet ski and called 911 to report that his wife had been gunned down by Mexican "pirates", and he told a tale where he portrayed himself as a hero, even in the face of an onslaught of bullets hailing all around him, but finally, reluctantly, and with the voice of God, was forced to abandon his wife, would a sheriff have simply taken his word for it?

Had he said, "don't bother to search, my wife's on the Mexican side", would law enforcement simply said, "ok, case closed"?

Would Sheriff Gonzalez take one look at him, untouched by bullets (and without a single nick on his jet ski) and said, "I can tell he is an honest man. No need for a polygraph."?

What if he said that ruthless drug cartels "decided" after killing his wife, to just let him go? Would that not raise an eyebrow or two?

How about afterwards: let's say this same man, a day or two later, contacted media and went from talk show to talk show: Would his words matter to you?

What if he announced that his wife was the love of his life, but it was time to move on?

What if he said he knew his wife would have wanted him to see the world, do some serious Black Friday shopping, and "live the life" a month after her murder?

Sheriff Gonzalez, would you feel a bit queasy on this one? What if the same man declined any call for justice for his slain wife, but only wanted her body back.

Would you still be able to retain the respect of your deputies even after ignoring this blaring red flag and all the others?

Sheriff Gonzalez, it is time to think about your actions.

What did Gonzalez have to gain by taking Tiffany's word that her husband's body is on the "Mexico" side; even though they were racing as fast as the jet ski could take them (60mph?) towards home? Was there a sort of marker in the water in which Tiffany could see the demarcation? Would any law enforcement personnel in the country just take a person's word for it, without verification?

For law enforcement here is what must be investigated.

There is an insurance policy within the company David Hartley was employed.

Law enforcement 101: check with human resource people within CalFrac Well Services to see if she inquired as to what they need for a pay-out. Go back 6 months and ask some questions.

And it might also include a double indemnity clause as an insurance benefit provision or addendum. Tiffany Hartley likely is the sole beneficiary. This information is not public record and must be obtained from the company in which he was employed. It is easy enough to get: investigative subpoena will do the trick. Separately check also with the policy holder directly for any communication prior to David Hartley vanishing.

Cell phone records: both those of David and Tiffany Hartley. She also likely used his phone at different times. Also check on the computer activity used from the cell phone and go back as far as 9 months of activity. It is likely you will not see much activity 30 days before David vanished; but go back a bit further. This was not random, but showed planning and alibi building at least a month earlier, likely many months.

Next: Cell phone usage after David vanished.

If his cell phone was in the truck that day and it was a company phone was it returned to the company was it used? Cell tower activity on all phones especially 4 weeks prior to the date she left the area. Current cell phone activity should be investigated.

We still haven't left Investigation 101.

Journalists, are you listening?

Ever hear of the Freedom of Information Act?

Do you want to hear the complete 911 call? Did Tiffany have you at "hello", even though you have read the FBI's own litmus test for guilty homicide callers? Do you still wish to refer to her as "cute"?

Obtain computer activity from David’s computer and Tiffany’s computer. Subpoena email activity records from the Internet carrier. Search for records must include google map activity and skype connect calls (that is often missed in intimate partner crimes.)

Tiffany was employed, but where? Check her computer activity at her place of employment. Also if there is a library where the couple lived or Internet access at a local cafe it should be checked.
David Ramsey- Tiffany sought the assistant of radio and financial expert Dave Ramsey and she met him in person. Also Tiffany thanked Dave Ramsey for his advice. The couple was obviously lived past their means if they went to Dave Ramsey. I would investigate if the jet skis were owned free and clear or did they owe money on them. In an interview, ask Tiffany to explain what "the life" means to her?

You may be surprised at just how much she reveals.

Obtain the registration of both jet skis and put out an alert for the missing skis.

How about a reward?

Investigate which jet skis Tiffany actually has, hers or David’s. Place a stolen warrant in the system for the missing jet skis it is likely it could turn up. Place the warrant for the skis in both Mexico and the United States. The one Tiffany returned to tell her story was indeed registered to David M. Hartley (this information was obtained from the police stop earlier on the video dash cam as it showed the back of the trailer where they were transporting skis.)

Investigate friends of Tiffany Hartley at her work and David’s in the area or other wives whose husbands worked for CalFrac Well Services. I would check both English and non English employees spouses. If she spoke Spanish fluently Tiffany may have kept that quiet.

Investigate any Western Union activity within 60 days of David vanishing. Unusual charges to credit cards both she and David Hartley’s. Federal express records of ingoing and outgoing packages need to be reviewed through the time she left, especially in Mexico.

This is not complicated. It is long, boring arduous work.

It is also something that investigators love.

Why?

Because it is often the tiny, overlooked detail that brings out the truth.

Had a man emerged from Falcon Lake sans wife claiming to have been in a hail of bullets with not a single one of them hitting him or his jet ski, yet scoring a perfect head shot on his wife,

would law enforcement and media turned a deaf ear, and a blind eye, to justice for the missing?

It is time.

In part 3, if more journalists will not step up and law enforcement will continue to shrug their collective shoulders, then it shall be time for the public to take some action.

Tiffany Hartley: No Investigation Part 1

Tiffany Hartley: No Investigation Part 1
by Susan Murphy Milano and Peter Hyatt
Is Tiffany Hartley Responsible for the disappearance of David Hartley
Yes
No

pollcode.com free polls

In the majority of intimate homicide cases connecting the dots of the alleged crime happens with facts often not reviewed by all parties in a case. The victim's actions prior to going missing or their remains being discovered can all but vanish. This is problematic and can limit answers from coming forth. Law enforcement, at times, may not have enough evidence to proceed so it goes into the cold case or unsolved category.

Not only this, but prosecutors, unless the case has new evidence, must move on to the next case to be considered for prosecution. Heavy case loads and under staffing are the norm. The surviving families can be clueless especially when the person likely involved is someone they would never suspect or believe to have harmed the person now missing or deceased. So they often remain quiet.

Sometimes, especially in the passage of time and ever increasing frustration, families contact experts like those in Crime Wire, to connect the dots and have the case presented with new information and facts in hopes if opening an investigation. Sometimes a fresh look can make all the difference in the world.

The families, exhausted with frustration, but pressing forward just the same, will ask outside experts and consultants to view a case file, which may include interview transcripts. Here, Statement Analysis can be of great value.  Statement analysis, also called "statement validity assessment", "content analysis", "investigative discourse analysis", and "scientific content analysis" is a technique that can be used to detect concealed information, missing information, and whether the information that person has provided is true or false. Statement analysis involves an investigator searching for linguistic cues and gaps in a subject's testimony or preliminary statements and using follow-up questions to uncover discrepancies.

The family may seek the assistance of a profiler who can give a road map to what type of person could commit a certain type of crime.

In domestic homicides, a domestic violence expert and advocate, with too many years experience in helping families, is contacted, and is then able to advise the family of what steps can be now taken, especially when an initial investigation ended up as a cold case.

In the case of David Hartley, missing since September 30th, we are faced with a unique and perplexing situation.

It is not that law enforcement has done a poor job with the investigation, but rather:

Law enforcement hasn't even bothered to conduct an investigation.

Zapata County, Texas, Sheriff Ziggy Gonzalez received a report of a missing and presumed dead individual with the only witness being his wife.

He did not question a single aspect of her story.

Although her story sounded incredible, he did not follow any investigative protocol; no polygraph, for instance, for the only witness to this crime.

He also claimed to be unable to search for David Hartley's body, nor to investigate an alleged murder. Why? Because the only witness to the crime said, repeatedly, that it happened on "the Mexico side" in open water; as if such a demarcation could be known.

So, based upon the word of only one unpolygraphed witness, Sheriff Gonzalez refused to conduct an investigation.

Can it be imagined that a spouse could enter a police station and report a murdered spouse in such a way as to have law enforcement decline to investigate? What would have happened if Scott Peterson had been believed on the day of the initial report? Would police have then, as Sheriff Gonzalez did, simply say, "no need to investigate; I took a look at Scott and can tell he is truthful"??

Drew Peterson?

It is an absurdity that it only heightened when media follow suit and fail to ask questions of Zapata County. Can someone call himself an "investigative journalist" and simply accept the word of the man who refused to investigate?

Somehow, an experienced sheriff heard a story of a head shot murder, with "spraying" of gunfire, by ruthless Mexican "pirates" (note that pirates and drug cartels may not be the same thing) who, not only shot at Tiffany without a single hit upon her or her jet ski, but also "decided" (Tiffany's word) to let her go; but then opened fire and missed; yet did not think an investigation was needed. Somehow, this is what happened, yet journalists have remained silent? Media, for the most part, has hailed Tiffany Hartley as a hero?

We believe friends and family members of missing person David Hartley are having their doubts about what really happened to their loved one.

The poll question will show what the public thinks. Thus far, in our experience, the public overwhelmingly believes that Tiffany Hartley is deceptive in her interviews and is responsible for the disappearance of David Hartley.

Having said this we are asking the media and both the Mexican Government and the FBI to at the very least investigate David Hartley’s case.

It is not possible for the events with the jet skis as described by Tiffany Hartley to have taken place.

1) She claims David was thrown from the ski while in motion. The jet skis require a key by any user either around the wrist or attached to the life vest to run. Once the key was released from its’ ignition, the jet ski came to stop and fell into the water;

2)The life vest David wore after “being shot” as Tiffany claims would have kept his body face up in the water (according to experts) therefore she did not turn over David to see any wound;

3)There is no balance board or rudder on the jet ski and Tiffany at 110 pounds or anyone for that matter could not have “turned over a body in water”;

4)Tiffany claims there were 3 boats (or 2 whatever story you believe) the wake in the water or motion from the propelled motor engines of the boats make it impossible to keep the jets skis in one place as a matter fact manufacturer instructions for jet skis owners say to stay out of the way from other boats when in the water because it will interfere with the jet skis performance and it is dangerous and can shut the jet skis down immediately.

If you reenacted the events in a lake any as told by Tiffany Hartley the findings would conclude that David Hartley did not die as we were lead to believe.

The media has opted to believe this woman without a shred of evidence or facts.

As an important example: below is a transcript from Nancy Grace on 10/5/2010
http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1010/05/ng.01.html

GRACE: Well, I`ve got to tell you something, Lt. Garza, I really believe her. And the fact that the body has not been discovered yet, and that the jet skis has not been discovered, that doesn`t concern me at all. Can`t you look at this lady and tell she`s telling the truth?

Nancy Grace of all people to actually say on the air “Can’t you look at this lady” speaks volumes as it relates to understanding and reporting on intimate partner crimes and homicide.

Then Nancy Grace asks defense attorney Richard Herman. This is interesting as Herman himself lost the love of his life, his wife to a horrific murder. He understands better than most and he can smell the nonsense a mile away. When he calls it likes he sees it on the Hartley case Nancy Grace shuts him down.

RICHARD HERMAN, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Nancy, her story sounds ridiculous to me. Why would they aim a gun at her and not shoot her and not take her jet ski? Pirates just don`t come up to people and shoot them for fun of shooting people. I don`t know what went on here. It`s tragic. This man apparently is dead. But the story sounds absolutely ridiculous.

GRACE: No, no. Because I have prosecuted cases where victims were murdered, were gunned down just for the hell of it.

With Nancy Grace's claims to be able to just "look" at someone and know the truth, we have 80 years of research via polygraph for nought. We don't need polygraph, statement analysis, forensics, interviews, interrogations, or even crime scene analysis: We only need Nancy Grace to "look" at someone and she can tell us if the person "did it" or not! This is ego run amuk.

Nancy Grace, Anderson Cooper, Jane Valdez-Mitchell, Geraldo, Gayle King and others in the media, have been played. We challenge anyone in the media to prove us wrong. Each of you reported a story, nothing more. Please stop calling the only eye witness and possible suspect “cute” or looking at her as though she is not capable of planning the perfect murder.

Tomorrow we continue with more facts, including why Statement Analysis has concluded that Tiffany Hartley is deceptive in her interviews. Our conclusion will give readers a course of action to take to help find justice for David Hartley.

Stacy Peterson: Life Interrupted

___________________________________________________________________________________

In the marriage of Drew and Stacy Peterson, she faced the same life threatening situation not only as a victim of abuse, but as the wife of a law enforcement officer, and she knew it. What she did not know was that Drew Peterson, in my opinion, would kill again. She believed Peterson loved her enough and because of her secret about Peterson, would not harm a hair on her head.

If was Drew Peterson was stupid enough to do anything to Stacy Peterson the truth about his former wife Kathy Savio would be her insurance policy for staying alive. That was her only mistake. The ace in her hand, if you will, that Stacy held, was not strong enough and what she knew for a fact about Kathleen Savio's murder would vanish with her on October 27, 2007. Like Stacy and Kathleen, documenting and capturing facts of the abuse that ultimately lead to both of these women being killed, would have been sustained them beyond the grave. The key for other women to remain alive is provided and spelled out step-by-step in the book “Time’s Up: A Guide on How to Leave and Survive Abusive and Stalking Relationships.” Offenders of intimate partner homicide, similar to Drew Peterson, would have been arrested by authorities, without as much as a blink because their words would be captured similar to a leaving will followed by a video, beyond the grave. Removing the so called “hearsay” conversations that most victims have with friends and family when the abuse or threats to their lives increases and they always tell someone before they vanish or are killed “if something happens to me, please know he did it.”

In the world of Drew Peterson, ever cocky and confident in his plan, he made certain that no one would figure he would have had anything to do with the disappearance of Stacy Peterson. After all, look at her family background. She grew up in a less than perfect home, as did many of us. She dreamed of a better life with the first person who showed her kindness and affection. That is appealing to anyone who was read fairy tale stories as a child, wishing their life, would begin, with a prince taking her away from everything that was unpleasant and evil.

As most victims of intimate partner violence, Stacy Peterson grew, over time, into a strong confident woman. When the abuse was no longer acceptable, she looked at her two young children, possibly thinking back on her own life and decided to make changes that did not include abuse, control and violence. She made plans to move forward, to not repeat the cycle of violence. For that, she is to be commended.

Although her remains have yet to be recovered, her life is important for other victims living in fear at this very moment. I would like to think that on angels wings Stacy Peterson brought me into her world in some way. The initial meeting after her death I would have with Pastor Neil Schori with whom she met in Naperville, IL and the partnership he, the church and I would form to stop the senseless killing of women involved in dangerous relationships across the county.

Now, 3 years have passed and no answers on where the remains of Stacy Peterson are buried. The answers, in my opinion, are in her actions while she was still alive, just as they were for Kathleen Savio, Roberta Murphy and others.

If each of these women were on a stage right now taking to you they would tell you “ when you do what you have always done, the outcome is the same. Look in the mirror at yourself, what do you see?”  What are you going to do about ending the abuse?  And although my mother, after 28 years had a taste of freedom out of the toxic and abusive environment, she would conclude her remarks to each of us and say "Time's Up." !

On The Peter Hyatt Show, special guest, Susan Murphy Milano will join author Denny Griffin to discuss two distinct aspects of the disappearance of David Hartley on Falcon Lake, September 30th, 2010. Peter Hyatt uses Statement Analysis to get to the truth of what is happening in some of the most fascinating cases faced in America. Cases that are heavily covered in the media are analyzed for truth or deception and analysis is presented along with commentary on his blog http://www.seamusoriley.blogspot.com/

Radio Show Link:  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/peter-hyatt/2010/11/28/the-peter-hyatt-show"

Questions that may surprise our audience.

Join us today, November 28th at 6PM EST on BlogTalkradio for the latest breaking news on the case of missing American David Hartley.

Susan will address the issue of gender bias in the media, but perhaps more importantly, she is going to address some of the forensics in the case; details that may have been overlooked.

Call-in Number: (619) 789-4315

We will also look at Tiffany Hartley's most recent release, seeking to understand why she has the need to explain why she was at Falcon Lake a month before David's alleged murder at the hands of Mexican "pirates", as well as her reported upcoming appearance on National Geographic, "Border Wars" and her continued pressing of various political issues, which have expanded beyond border security and have gone to economic and employment issues.

Is Tiffany Hartley qualified to address the nation on such issues?

"Time's Up" Stop Being a Victim

There are no more excuses to stay in a relationship where your safety continues to be hanging by a thread. Waking up day after day without a plan of how to leave the relationship can be deadly. The Institute for Relational Harm Reduction (http://www.saferelationshipsmagazine.com/) offers exit planning strategies to prevent you from becoming an abuse statistic or the victim of Intimate Partner Homicide. If the Institute can help you strategize to get ready for disconnection, please let us. Most of all, be safe.

Before you announce your thoughts about how unhappy you are or that the relationship simply is not working for you any longer, have a solid plan in place. Women often fail to plan ahead in leaving, underestimating what the abuser can and actually ends up doing.

Susan Powell Example

Susan Powell, a married stockbroker and is a devoted mother to two young sons. Over time, Susan’s husband Josh became more and more controlling. Their marriage deteriorated. At this point in a relationship, many abusers begin to formulate a plan born of anger and desperation.

This plan remains in the abuser’s mind until they notice subtle signs of movement. Perhaps Josh walked into the room as Susan whispered into the phone. When she realized he was in the room, she quickly changed her tone or ended the phone call. Perhaps he learned Susan set up a bank account, and decided she was hiding money so she and the kids could leave.

The signs of movement spark Josh, or any potential abuser, to think of the next level. They think to themselves, “OK, she is going to leave me. I will not let that happen”. He acts as though nothing is wrong. When she goes to sleep, however, Josh leaps into action. He may:

•rummage through her car looking for evidence of her plan–a bank receipt or an unusual transaction or charge
•check her cell phone for any unusual numbers he does not recognize
•search her computer, checking to see which websites she visited

He finds something. Inwardly his anger skyrockets and his heart races. Outwardly, he remains calm and says nothing to Susan. A smile comes to his face. He “caught her,” and he figures in the future, she will pay one way or another.

Susan begins to email a trusted circle of friends about Josh’s abuse and threats. Maybe she keeps a detailed log containing dates and times of the incidents.

Next, Josh does what I label the “smell change.” Susan acts strangely. Josh, like most abusers, literally senses, or “smells” when his environment has shifted. Perhaps Susan verbalizes her unhappiness more often. Maybe she stands up for herself during a fight, where months before she would have backed down and gone to her room without incident.

Most abused women have difficulty hiding that “spark of empowerment” from a clever abuser. The abuser smells the spark, like a fox scents prey as he enters a coop full of chickens.

On December 7, 2009, Susan Powell of Utah disappeared. Law enforcement personnel consider her husband Josh a person of interest.

Susan Powell’s case appears no different from millions of cases of intimate partner violence we never hear about, until women disappear and someone finds their bodies. Often no “official documentation” of the abuse exists because the terrified women did not contact police or obtain a court order of protection. Why? Better than anyone, the victims know the court order of protection would not help. The court order of protection would only escalate the level of danger.

Thanksgiving and Dads

By Diane Fanning

It's difficult to think about Thanksgiving without thinking about your dad. I can still see him standing at the end of the loaded dining room table, hovering over a golden turkey, a large knife and piercing fork poised in the air. He'd pause as he calculated just the right angle and the perfect place to sink the blade.

He'd slice the breast in consistently thin pieces--I still don't know how he managed that. Then, he'd masterfully separate one drumstick and then the other, passing one to my brother and placing the second leg on his plate.

I also remember the sad Thanksgiving. The one where we had hot dogs and baked beans. My Dad worked at the Baltimore Fisher Body plant of General Motors. Every year in August, he'd be laid off for two or three weeks while they turned over the machines to accommodate that year's new models. During that particular year, his union went on strike the same day he was supposed to return to work. On Thanksgiving, he still was without work, without pay and with three kids to feed. We were lucky to get the hot dogs. It made all of us appreciate the turkey even more when the next Thanksgiving rolled around.

Now, all I have of my Dad are memories. He passed away in 2005. At first, my father-in-law filled in the Dad gap. Then last year, he died, too. Both men suffered through years of progressively worsening dementia. They inspired my fourth Lucinda Pierce mystery, Twisted Reason.

It appears that their inspiration led me in the right direction. Publishers Weekly wrote: "Edgar-finalist Fanning skillfully illuminates the heartbreaking challenges facing Alzheimer’s victims and their families in her fourth mystery featuring Virginia homicide detective Lucinda Pierce."

In Kirkus Reviews: "As usual, Fanning poses Lucinda a quirky mystery, this time providing a thoughtful look at the stress of those caring for loved ones with dementia."

In this week of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the encouragement and inspiration dads give their daughters, and for the special insight that I received from two terrific Dads: Leon Butcher and Bill Fanning.

Larry Winget! Not Just Your Average Okie From Muskogee!

Oklahoma native, Larry Winget, is not another country singer lamenting the sorrows of life!  Well known and trademarked as "The Pitbull of Personal Developement," Winget turned his heels on a dime, forged a new look, designed some boots and took off in a world of motivational speakers.

In the world of "happy talk" and elevator speeches, Winget snapped one day and got in the face of a heckler who turned out to be his inspiration for the future of his new style.

Directly, but not rudely, Larry Winget's style is more common sense, with down to earth, realistic advice on topics such as finances, kids and career choices.

Larry Winget has appeared in every major media outlet and magazine, he makes a mean cover subject!  His books  made the New York Times and Wall Street Journal best sellers list 5 times.  Must be something he said?

Indeed, if there is a lesson to be learned from the Larry Winget story, it is to simply embrace one's individuality.
"My philosophy is discover your uniqueness and learn to exploit it in the service of others," he says. "Becoming authentic is a hard thing for people to do, but I always encourage people to find out who they really are, to discover their edge just a bit."  (Randy Cordova The Arizona Republic)

Tiffany Hartley: International Widow no Time for Justice?

In the world of intimate partner violence, the person responsible or those labeled as “persons of interest” or “prime suspects” hope the person with whom they were in a relationship or married to, are never found. This speaks volumes to the mindset of these killers. They look at the relationship as their property, similar to the assets acquired during the marriage. In their mindset it is easier to dispose of the person so they can begin again with a clean slate.

The controlling and angry person is often enraged by the loss of power and control, not interested in what I term "sharing the dolls and dishes" accumulated during the marriage. They formulate a plan and change the marriage certificate into a pending death certificate to be filled out and completed like a deadly bill of sale for discarded property.

Intimate partner violence is not gender specific. The way the crimes are reported or not investigated is another matter. If we look at men who are sexual predators, society is enraged by these dangerous individuals. But, when we hear about a teacher or a woman committing sexual acts or murder with a student or child, the media reaction and public outcry is very different. The treatment within the criminal justice system for male predators versus female predators is miles apart as it relates to sentencing.

In cases of intimate partner homicides, often law enforcement will not pursue a criminal investigation against a woman. As an example, Michael Tapley of Arizona, has been missing since February of 2008. The last person to see him alive was his wife, Gina Tapley. In my opinion, based on information and various facts surrounding his vanishing act, his wife played a role in his disappearance. She told some wild west story and authorities believed it. Arizona police are refusing to open an investigation, because, in my opinion, she is a woman. The case is only classified as missing persons and is basically closed unless someone comes forward or I get a break with the attorney general’s office, or a newly elected sheriff, and they listen and review the facts.

Another example is Mathew Houbrick of Illinois. Television producer, Matthew Houbrick, was found dead at the Drake Hotel in Chicago on November 14, 2005. He was in Chicago working on the FOX TV series Prison Break. His death made world-wide headlines, but the truth of what really happened; how he died, why Chicago Police failed to properly investigate, was swept under the carpet. Facts in this case, in my opinion, point to his former girlfriend. Now, 5 years later there is movement on the case and information is finally being reviewed. Because of how the murder was set up designed to look like a suicide, which it was not, the case was closed. In my opinion, he was murdered and the person responsible covered her tracks.

Wife charged: Michael Severance survived five tours of duty with the Air Force in the war torn Middle East. But he could not survive five months of marriage to this woman; Wendi Davidson was a young veterinarian in the isolated city of San Angelo, Texas. She decided the solution to her problem was to give her husband a lethal injection in January of 2005.  She was convicted of his murder and is now serving a 25 year sentence in a Texas prison.

Women who kill are also psychopaths (just as their men counterparts) and the pattern of conduct resulting in the outcome of murder is the same.  In my opinion, as I and others are now working, a similar case in the news is beyond disturbing and the criminal pattern is no different. Yet, authorities and the media have intentionally decided the new darling of media and border issues should not be investigated and we need to stop "picking on her."

Psychopathy Characteristics (defined)

  • glib and superficial charm
  • grandiose (exaggeratedly high) estimation of self
  • need for stimulation
  • pathological lying
  • cunning and manipulativeness
  • lack of guilt or remorse
  • shallow affect (superficial emotional responsiveness)
  • callousness and lack of empathy
  • sexual promiscuity
  • impulsivity
  • irresponsibility

The case of missing person David Hartley follows a similar pattern as the aforementioned cases.  Technically, since his body has not been recovered, he is considered a missing person.  So why, as in all such cases, has David Hartely not been registered with NamUs  http://www.namus.gov/ or other missing person's data bases?  If, and when, his remains are recovered, DNA testing needs to be done, but without properly registering him in the system, it will not happen, when and if, his body is located, perhaps on foreign or U.S. soil.   FACT: he is a missing person because there is no body. So we take the word of a single person with whom he was married and then what, case closed?  It is on to border patrol issues? Foreign policy perhaps? I do not think so!

Where is an investigative journalist when you need one?  Does such a person exist?  In my opinion, the days of the investigative reporting is over, and this case proves my point.  Instead, experts like Dr. Lillian Glass in the area of body language, Peter Hyatt, expert in statement analysis and his blog, (http://www.seamusoriley.blogspot.com/) on statement analysis is on target, along with others who are asking important questions and doing the tasks that once were accomplished by investigative journalists.

The last entry on Tiffany's Facebook is interesting it is 4 days before David Harley vanished:

Tiffany Young- Hartley Had a great vacation in Key West, FL. Thanks to my husband who works so hard so we can get away from life for awhile. Great pick Babe!!!! Saw a couple sharks while diving, got to pet a Manatee by the Harbor walk. Just a few of the highlights of our trip. September 26 at 7:49pm ·

The next Facebook entry from Tiffany is Tiffany Young- Hartley Thank you everyone for your prayers!!! October 2 at 11:32pm

There are brief other entries, communication from her saying thanks to folks for prayers.

Twenty Nine days  after the love of this woman's life has vanished you begin to see the border issue postings.  Tiffany Young- Hartley This website is VERY grafic, David would look at now and again but I never really did due to the grafics. So if you can't handle the pictures just skip over them but read the articles. This will give you an eye opener to what is happening on the border. You will see why I'm speaking out and wanting all of you and America to realize what is happening and that we can't continue to be blind. It isn't your fault our own government and media is not reporting any of this. They don't want us know they just want to keep it quite, But not anymore, if they don't get it out I will.  October 29 at 1:43am ·

I apologize if I am repeating myself, but none of this makes any sense what so ever. And I will not treat the vanishing/murder of David Hartley differently than I do missing women,  Stacy Peterson or Susan Powell.

I do not see a grieving widow doing anything about a search and recovery mission for her husband.  Recently, in the same area that David Hartley vanished, a reporter chartered those same waters.  He reported it was isolated, no ships, pirates or anything other than wildlife in the area Tiffany claims David was shot.  Publicly, given all the attention to this tragedy, Tiffiany Hartley had the ability to have search and rescue crews at her disposal.  But, she never asked or made a public plea.  Her account(s) to the events of September 30, 2010, are, in my opinion, not true.  In her own words, during a recent interview, she said, "I will never return to Mexico." And why not? What about David and seeking justice?  Then 2 weeks later she posts another entry, again, no mention of David, her horrific so called encounter with pirates or drug cartel, because it did not happen!  You can't talk about something that did not take place. So you disarm by changing the subject and never really answering any one's questions.  This, in my opinion is a classic pattern of conduct for those involved in intimate partner crimes.

The tickets are $5.00 and to get tickets call  (i removed contacts name) at November 9 at 2:05pm

How about asking and "encouraging everyone" who knows anything to come forward?  I have yet to see a reward offered for information on the case or a designated tip line number that could lead to the recovery of David Hartley.  I know maybe the mainstream media can go to Mexico and offer a reward for information via one of their bureau offices located near the area where David Hartley vanished.

David Hartley was employed since 2003 as a district manager for CalFracWell Services, a multi-billion dollar company.  Perhaps they should be asked to assist with the recovery of David Hartley.  Maybe they can help with placing information in Spanish at various communities, on Internet sites, and offer a reward in this case.   I know Tiffany Hartley is rather busy at the moment, so I am asking for assistance from CalFrac Well Services, the same as I would ask for any victim who has vanished or been reported as murdered.  My email address is murphymilano@gmail.com.
