The Keeper of Silent Secrets

No matter how many years pass after the murder of my mother, Roberta Murphy, I continue to be the keeper of her silent secrets. As described for the first time in a recent radio interview with Vito Colucci, -http://archives.warpradio.om/btr//Crimetime/060523.mp3

She lived in the silence of the violence just beyond the front door on Highland Avenue in Chicago. A vibrant neighborhood, where one could always find at least one fireman or policeman living on every city block. It was considered a melting pot of middle class families. The wife of a Chicago Violent crimes detective and mother of three hid her pain and fears from anyone who came in close contact with her. And if one looked closely enough, they could see the sadness and fear in her bright brown eyes. Her smile, infectious and disarming. Throwing off anyone who might want to ask if everything was alright. Roberta Murphy always made you feel and believe "she was just fine."

Throughout my childhood, although she had plenty of opportunity, my mother never once spoke a disparaging word about my father (pictured with her above). When he would do the unfathomable and beat her bloody, to the world and her children she held her head high, often making excusing for his violent behavior. As kids we were like confused animals under bright headlights. Unable to comprehend why she stayed. When I would question or ask "why does daddy do this to you"? Her response never made sense and I accepted our lives the way we survived as normal.

That "normal" would play like a national anthem in my own personal life as an adult. Keeping myself carefully guarded from the outside world so I could not be hurt physically by a relationship. I was already prepared for any emotional assault that would come my way, never realizing I accepted it because it was an invisible tattoo deep into the core of who I was.

As the keeper of my mother secrets I would never fully realize their destruction upon my life, until now. Those "secrets" were lifted like a celebration freedom dance in the street. Last week I finished the final chapter of the upcoming book "Holding My Hand Through Hell." The final copy is at the editors and is scheduled for release sometime in the fall.  What the book is about is described in the following :

Summary

The vicious murder of the author's mother haunted her for 48 years, but discovering the truth about her mother's murder was just the tip of the iceberg. Her story and the murder of her mother is spell-bounding as she unveils the hidden secrets that shocked the residents of three counties in southeast Tennessee.

Drew Peterson: Camp Sticky Marshmallow Update Day #136

The legal team is now using new words as they prepare for their day in a courtroom, should it ever arrive, when an arrest is made in either case. I was struck by an article that appeared here: Title of article:" Lawyer Claims Vendetta"
http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/heraldnews/news/843782,4_1_JO15_PETERSON_S1.article

Definition of a Vendetta for those who attempt to throw it out and see what sticks is:

a feud in which the relatives of a murdered or wronged person seek vengeance on the murderer or wrongdoer or on members of that person's family ;
any bitter quarrel or feud ;

What is the legal team of campfire roasters implying in using this terminology? There is no bitter battle. Can you blame friends and family for wanting to know where Stacy Peterson is?
Certainly, not. After all, it was Drew Peterson who said himself, "she is where she wants to be".

And it is not the neighbors "job" to locate Mr. Peterson's wife, who according to the legal team of roasters, obviously believes Sharon and her son Roy should be doing.

No one, sir, is seeking anything, but the truth. And for you or anyone, particularly those who have been arrested for domestic violence themselves, or been visited at their own home by members of a swat team, to imply otherwise further proves the camp marshmallow club of offenders is alive and well.

Now, 136 days have passed, the children are still without their mother. The world is a cold enough place when the only warmth and love of a woman a child knows is abruptly taken from them at the most important time of their lives.

Meanwhile, those who are volunteering their own time to locate the "potential homicide" sister, friend, relatives and neighbors of Stacy Peterson, please visit the website at :http://www.findstacypeterson.com/ . Now more than ever, the family of Stacy Peterson needs you support !

Drew Peterson: America's Front Row Seat To Human Tragedy

Step right, first row seat to the greatest "show" of disrespect and human tragedy I and the public have been forced to witness. That's right folks, he walk, talks, smiles for the crowd, shows off on a video "performing" a day in life of "daddy minus mommy". He hires an image consultant along with his merry band of acts to turn around and soften the image
of a man whose former wife was murdered and another who has done one hell of a "vanishing act".

From the onset, since the disappearance of Stacy Peterson, we have never once viewed or felt any grief, anger, a willingness to locate or clear his name with regards to his wife. Instead, he and his merry band of circus performers do acrobatic style media stunts to lesson the severity and the seriousness of two women's lives who have been basically erased from this planet.

We have reached a place in this country where victims voice's have truly been silenced! Because when we allow this to spread as it has, like a contagious disease, it only opens the door for the next circus act of unstoppable magnitude to enter America's Airwaves when another circus act comes to town. Leaving lives erased as suspects in criminal cases take center stage and make headline news .

The latest news wire: ((The doctor also happens to be a client of Drew's new Public Relations Firm)
"Renowned Psychotherapist Defends Care of Drew Peterson ChildrenDr. Dan Budenz, Ph.D. says the children are being well cared for. "
Drew Peterson and missing wife Stacy.
(PRNewsChannel) / Orlando, Fla. - While in California, he and his staff quietly treated hundreds of celebrities for addiction and affective disorders. Now Dr. Daniel Budenz, Ph.D., known to many as "Dr. Dan," is publicly defending the care of Drew Peterson's children.
"The Peterson children are caught in the middle of dueling family members and huge media frenzy,'' says Dr. Dan, who was friends with Peterson 20 years ago and recently reconnected. "The family has had to wake up at four in the morning to the roar of media generators, climb over the back fence to attend school and then hear the accusations against their dad on TV."
Dr. Dan says the Peterson children know what is happening-appropriate for their ages and abilities.
"From what I see, Drew and the outside help he's hired to help care for the children are doing a great job," says Dr. Dan. Peterson is the former Chicago area police officer who's at the center of one of the biggest crime investigations.
The death of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio, was recently ruled a homicide.
His fourth wife Stacy disappeared.
Peterson has not been charged with a crime but has been the consistent focus of police and media attention.
Peterson and his children escaped the media circus over Christmas and New Year's by being with Dr. Dan and his family in Florida. Peterson has since come to see Dr. Dan a few more times.
"Drew is a very attentive father," says Dr. Dan. "The two oldest sons clearly understand what is happening--one is a police officer. The two teens are equally aware and are extremely helpful, wonderful, motivated, young men who stand by their dad and help Drew with the youngest children."
Dr. Dan believes there is no basis for removing any of the children from Peterson's care, as the families of Peterson's missing wife Stacy and former wife Kathleen Savio have suggested.
"The 3 and 4 year olds are physically and emotionally vibrant and are well parented by Drew and the older family members," says Dr. Dan. "These children are in great hands."
Dr। Dan is available for media interviews। ####################

Drew Peterson: The Circus Act Continue's

Media Darling Drew Peterson and the "Legal Media Marshmallow Roaster" are headed to New York for another yet another round with Matt Lauer. Today marks the fourth month anniversary in the disappearance of Stacy Peterson, mother, sister, spouse and in my opinion, murder victim. The nation has watched patiently, waiting, until Stacy Peterson's case is solved. And while we wait, all we get is more of the same. A circus act to be sure as two grown men walk and talk in pathetic costume. Each, ever so carefully speaking the universal language of those in our world who have been arrested, charged, swat team visited and perhaps murdered those they profess to love. The native tongue is at times clever and manipulative. Their tribe is called: Abuser.

For more information on how you can assist the Stacy Peterson family, tips, leads, follow the case, or attend the fundraiser, please visit http://www.findstacypeterson.com/

It has been a busy twenty-four hours at the Peterson household. On Wednesday at nine in the morning, four armed police officers knocked at the door and served subpoena's for both the teenage boys to appear before the grand jury, today at nine in the morning. Unless Peterson has another rabbit to pull out of his cap, while he in doing his media dance, the boys will be at the grand jury hearing pertaining to their mother, Kathleen Savio.

Excerpts from http://www.chicagotribune.com/ ---In yet another turn of events, Peterson will have his personal items returned within the next few weeks। But, just a couple hours ago, Peterson's gun card permit was revoked. So Peterson's firearms will not be returned because he has no legal license to own or carry weapons.
Under the Firearm Owner's Identification Card Act, a card may only be revoked for specific reasons, such as a conviction for a felony or domestic battery within five years, admittance to a mental health facility, providing false information on an application for the card and being subject to an existing order of protection.A card also may be revoked if the cardholder's mental condition is found to present a clear danger to the person or other people. Some denials or revocations occur automatically when a person is convicted of a crime or committed to a mental facility, but others can be granted at the request of law enforcement, a family member or doctor, said state police Master Sgt. Luis Gutierrez. Last year, the agency denied or revoked 26 FOID cards.Meanwhile, while Brodsky and Peterson flew to New York for his third appearance on the NBC show, Brodsky's law partner, Reem Odeh, questioned the way the case was being managed."I'm concerned that there's more emphasis and more of an effort to cater to the media frenzy than there is to looking into the issues surrounding the investigations," Odeh said. "It just seems to me that when there's nothing going on with the investigation and things are quiet in the media, it seems like sometimes either Joel or Drew says something to start the media frenzy all over again."Brodsky has mounted an aggressive campaign for media coverage. Asked whether she discussed those issues with Brodsky, Odeh said, "Absolutely. I don't think it's appropriate. I think it is in the client's best interest to keep it quiet and focus on the case. But he just says the case is going to make us famous and we're all going to get book deals."Odeh said she plans to meet with Peterson and tell him that she believes he should behave in a more professional manner, and if that doesn't happen, she will push to have him dropped as a client.
