Morgan Harrington: A Veteran Killer Remains at Large

" I will not let your murder fade to beige and be swept aside – as suits so many. Towards that end, I went back to the bridge of your abduction. I weeded the boxwood plant and anointed its feet with iridescent glass jewels that catch the sunlight and spit it back like fire. I festooned the gray granite of your marker with multicolored prayer flags that gesture blessings into every breeze. It may be for naught, silly even, for I know they clear away these expressions soon after I leave, but my urge to adorn and make note of sacred ground is a mother’s right, in fact a mother’s duty. Mine to perform – and so I shall." Gil Harrington (Morgan's Mom)

I often wondered from the first time I interviewed Gil and Dr. Dan Harrington on a radio show, if someone of authority, “in the know “ if you will has made sure their daughter, Morgan Harrington’s unsolved murder remained cold.

A string of so called “announcements” within approximately 30 plus hours of the broadcast in 2010, suddenly released to the public. From a chief of police announcing retirement, a sketch released of the possible suspect and magical DNA.

On October 17, 2009, with a group of close friends Morgan attended a Metallica concert, never to be heard or seen from again. Items found in the parking lot of the concert, later identified as Morgan’s strike, in my mind one important question, is the person responsible for her murder in security or law enforcement? And on the show we raise and discuss facts in my opinion, that do not pass what I often term "the stink test."

At time of her disappearance, assistance poured in from all over, her remains wouldn’t be recovered until January, 26, 2010 in a remote field in Albemarle County, VA on a 700 acre Anchorage Farm. The individual(s) responsible no doubt were familiar enough with the area to hide her in this particular location. Oddly enough, a location where months before was the subject of an internal police investigation.

I am convinced, more then ever before someone out there knows what happened to Morgan Harrington. Is the person afraid to provide a tip knowing it could cause them harm? The good news about a tip, it is anonymous. Meaning it is impossible to track it back to the individual providing the information. You can call into the tip line at 434-352-3467. Or if you prefer we can take your tip via email at timesupforjustice@gmail.com and pass it along to law enforcement. There is also a $150,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the killer. Don't be fooled, he will strike again. If you know this person, you are in real danger of being harmed yourself. I am hopeful that if you do have knowledge about who killed Morgan, you will take time to download the podcast and listen to the show.

My wish is that by the time the Harrington's appear on The Roth Show next Wednesday, October 12th at 7:00 PM eastern time, someone will be brave and come forward. I don't believe that is too much to ask. Do you?

A Cold Blooded Killers Connection to Skyla Whitaker & Taylor Paschal-Placker Murders?

The 3 photo's above are of Keven Joe Sweat. On August 3, 2011 he was arrested and charged with the murder of Ashley Celeste Taylor, 23. Police recovered her remains on August 10, 2011 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Ashley Celeste Taylor went missing on July 15, 2011, as in most intimate partner violence cases Sweat told numerous stories about his fiance' search teams combed various areas until her remains were finally recovered.

But this may not be his only murder. The activities of Keven Sweat begin with a forum he is a member of under the name "Deviant" below is a partial journal entry dated April 14, 2011.

Well america, what can I say? World's gone to shit and when you look at everything, it was only a matter of time.

Anyway, back to me, I got in touch with one of my friends that I haven't spoked to since a bad confrotation between her and my 'fiance', which I probably shouldn't of talked to her, cause she has had feelings for me, which I don't feel the same way, she's trying her damndest to get me to come to California to be with her.........NO! FUCK NO! She's trying to get me in trouble. *sigh* Guess I had it coming, but it won't matter in a few months, I'm taking every step I can to make sure I can start over in life whether people like it or not, it's my fucking life, not there's!

Your thinking, "Come on Josepi, it can't get any worse." Wanna bet?

Remember Tabby? The Tabby I've had a crush on for damn near a year? Well, I was gonna tell her how I felt before I left, least I could do even if Im not coming back. Well....she's now seeing someone...I kinda feel like an idiot cause I thought I had a chance even before all this shit...maybe I was lying to myself, try to find something to make me feel more real instead of a ghost who can only be seen on the web (no seriously, I try to speak and get cut off by someone else, even when I try to push it).

I'm not gonna lie, I fucked up alot over the years, but how many people do you know is willing to admit it. If I could go back, tell myself it ain't worth it, I would...but we both know I can't. When my brother died...well...part of me really did die, and I don't like myself even more than I did 10 years ago. Guess you can say that's why I'm leaving, to in a way...ok, not actually kill myself, but kill off Josepi. Go something, change my name to something I like (come on now, who wants the last name 'sweat'?........exactly)

People might think that what I'm doing is extreme, but how far will you go to change? To break away?

I don't know if I said this, so I'll say it now:

Last year I was at Petsmart, I was looking at the birds, and saw a lone parriot in a cage. I was just staring at it, and it stared right back at me, and that's when I realized we are all more like birds in a giant series of cages. In our own cage, looking out to the 'outside' world, and into everyone elses cage, expecting each other to do the same thing in our cage: eat, sleep, walking around, fly (if we could).

We must allow ourselves to continue this pattern, to be kept as birds in a cage. Whether we live long and 'fulfilling' lives isn't as important as the media makes it out to be, but what matters is that we choose to be free, break from our cages. Fly far...fly high...never be captured again...

Is there a connection to Keven Joe Sweat in the unsolved murders of Skyla Whitaker, 11, and Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13, who were found dead in Weleetka three years ago on June 8, 2008? There is an aggressive investigation and according to sources law enforcement are piecing together what could possibly result in Keven Sweat being charged for the girls murders.

Would it take Ashley Taylor's murder for OSBI and the FBI to see the connection between Sweat and the girls murder(s) in 2008? We will never know if in someway Ashley stumbled onto information and Sweat could not take the chance so he killed her.

An award for information is still being offered in the girls murders that brings an arrest and conviction in the slaying is up to $160,000.

Anyone with information on the slaying is asked to call the OSBI at 800-522-8017.

Upcoming Show, Sunday, May 8, 8pm ET

Susan Murphy Milano Host!

Total Rewards $200,000

Special Guest: True Crime Author Diane Fanning join us to discuss the latest on the Casey Anthony Case

The first full-length, in depth account of the Caylee Anthony case

When news broke of nearly three-year-old Caylee Anthony's disappearance from her home in Florida in July 2008, there was a huge outpouring of sympathy across the nation. The search for Caylee made front-page headlines. But there was a huge question mark hanging over the case: the girl's mother.

This is the story of one of the most shocking, confusing and horrific crimes in modern American history.

Case 1 – $25,000 WANTED FUGITIVE REWARD – RANDY “MAD DOG” YAGER
To neighbors in Gary, Ind., Randy Mark Yager was a nice guy, always eager to lend a helping hand.
But to the Outlaw Motorcycle Club, “Mad” was a vicious leader who was feared by his enemies and allies alike.
And to the U.S. Marshalls office, he is one of America’s 15 most wanted fugitives. Yager, 48, is wanted on charges of murder, arson, possession and use of explosives, possession and trafficking in counterfeit U.S. currency, robbery, burglary, trafficking in stolen motor vehicles, and narcotics violations.

Case 2 – $75,000 MISSING PERSON REWARD – LISA STEBIC
Lisa Stebic, a mother of two children who enjoyed her job at an elementary school in Plainfield, Ill., disappeared on April 30, 2007. According to her husband, Lisa left their home around 6 p.m. while he was working in their backyard. Lisa sometimes went to nearby Plainfield North High School, where she also worked in the school cafeteria, to work out on the track — but she did not go to the track that night. Lisa’s husband told police and reporters that she was a good mother who would never just walk away from her children. But as the days went by and more details about Lisa’s life started to become public, police found that they had more and more questions that needed answering.

Case 3 – $100,000 UNSOLVED CRIME REWARD – THE SHORT FAMILY MURDERS
Michael and Mary Short were found slain in their Oak Level, Va., home in August 2002. The remains of their 9-year-old daughter, Jennifer, were found six weeks later under a bridge across the border in North Carolina. Each person had been shot once in the head.

$90,000 in Total Rewards

Sunday May 1, 8pm ET

Tonight Delilah and Susan are joined by Monica Casion, Founder of the Cue Center for Missing Persons.

Case 1 - $20,000 WANTED FUGITIVE REWARD - Dr. Emilio Luna, who is under indictment for five counts of distribution of child pornography, fled house confinement on September 12, 2010. Luna, a pediatrician in Phoenix, Arizona, was identified as allegedly sharing child pornography on a peer-to-peer (P2P) network.

Case 2 - $60,000 MISSING PERSON REWARD - Billy Smolinski quarrelled with his much-older girlfriend on their Florida vacation about calls she was getting on her cell phone. It turns out they were from the woman's other lover -- a married guy she had no intention of dumping.

Case 3 - $10,000 UNSOLVED MURDER REWARD - Michael Surber was a professional billiards player who played all over the country. He worked for a casino and spent all his free time practicing. Friends say if you couldn’t find Mike, he was in his basement playing the game he loved.
That’s why when Michael didn’t show up for a match at his local billiards club, friends knew something was wrong.

The brutally Erased Lives of Taylor, Age 13 and Skyla, Age 11

On Sunday, June 9th, 2008, Taylor Paschal Placker and Skyla Whiaker were in their play clothes walking down a rural road in Oklahoma. As best friends, their day likely began as all the others in summers past. Swimming in a creek, playing with dolls or riding their bikes together.

For each child's family their daily routines abruptly halted the moment the granfather discovered the girls bodies and news was received of their slayings. Taylor and Skyla were found gunned down with multiple gunshots in an area well traveled by town residents.

Taylor and Skyla will never graduate from grammer, high school or college. They will never experience of joy of motherhood. The girls will be a tragic memory for many years, in the community. On a road, at a specific time, people from the this small town will remember as they drive by and point to the area where they were senselessly slain.

When school begins in the fall, two seats will be painfully vacant.

And for Taylor and Skyla's families, the empty chair at the dinner table will be a constant reminder of times shared together, as a family, before June 9, 2008.

A $14,000 reward is being offered for information and the arrest of those responsible.
Anyone with information about the crime is urged to callthe OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017 or the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office at (918)623-1122.
