Manhunt for Daniel Proctor: Homicide of Amy Patterson of Florida

There is a national manhunt underway for Daniel Proctor (pictured above) from the Lee County Sheriff' in Florida.

Amy Patterson, 41 pictured above with her estranged boyfriend, Daniel Proctor has not been seen since July 29, 2011. Amy was a teacher at Mariner Middle School in Cape Coral Florida.

When Daniel Proctor unexpectedly popped in for a visit to see his month in Alabama, arriving in Amy's vehicle. His mother asked where was Amy ? He told her she was in Texas. Something was amiss and when she called the school where Amy worked she learned no one had seen her in a month. She kicked her son out of the home. Then she called the Sheriff's office and made a report.

Daniel Proctor at one point when asked told police "Amy died in a car accident." It is because of that statement he made to law enforcement the case was changed from missing person to "domestic homicide." Now they are looking for him. I wish more departments were as on the ball and aggressive when a woman "suddenly vanishes." But it rarely happens that way. Very few law enforcement agencies have training in the area of intimate partner violence and homicide.

Daniel Proctor's statement that Amy died in a car accident is an announcement to the world that he killed her. He considered armed and dangerous.

Police are asking anyone with any information pertaining to Amy Patterson and Daniel Ray Proctor is urged to contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office in Florida at (239) 477-1075 or the Madison County Sheriff's Office at (256) 722-7181.

The Lee County Sheriff should also have the family register the case with the CUE Center for Missing Persons, a national search and recovery organization working with law enforcement and families of the missing. www.ncmissingpersons.org or 910-232-1687

I contacted the Lee county Florida's Sheriff department with information that Daniel Proctor was spotted in Arcadia Fl and I was told that they did not want any information and was told to contact Crime Stoppers. I begged to take the info before he disappeared and they refused.
