For Kelly Rothwell

The continued efforts in searching for missing Police Cadet Kelly Rothwell may not sit well with one individual whom likely will not be attending the pancake fundraiser in her name this Saturday morning at the Church of the Isles, on Indian Rocks Beach.

Sadly, in my opinion, this coward has literally been on the run from the moment she went missing.

Kelly Rothwell was allegedly the love of David Perry's life? The couple were together for 3 1/2 years. That is until the day she ended the relationship with Perry, the last person to be in her presence. Kelly was never seen again. That very night he scattered off like a rabbit to Elmria, New York and has been uncooperative with law enforcement. Literally taking a page from the psychopath handbook, hiring a criminal defense lawyer and playing the catch me of you can game.

I would like to believe even if he didn't like pancakes and sausage, probably too heavy for a runner, he would be doing everything possible to see the church packed. You know given the fact that he cared for her so deeply? Maybe lend a hand and serve some pancakes at the church. Now there is a photo that is never going to happen. Especially since David Perry, has been officially named the only suspect in missing police cadet's Kelly Rothwell's case.

I really encourage Perry to change his mind and help out on Saturday. Just think, if nothing else when the time arrives, he can list the experience on his prison resume?

Circumstances of Disappearance
Kelly L. Rothwell, 35, of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday March 12,2011 as she had lunch with a friend at a restaurant in Pinellas County. An investigation began on Sunday when another friend asked deputies to check on Rothwell at her home where she lives with her boyfriend, 46-year-old David Perry. The friend was concerned for Rothwell’s safety due to “domestic issues” the couple had been experiencing, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Rothwell, who has not returned repeated calls to her cell phone from friends and relatives, did not show up for class Monday at the Pinellas Police Academy in St. Petersburg. Since starting the program in November, she has not missed a day, authorities said.

Perry, who is a retired corrections officer, has since traveled to New York, but is refusing to talk to police, He has not been charged.

Police found no signs of Rothwell or Perry during a search of their residence on Sunday,March 13,2011. Rothwell’s abandoned car — a green 2007 Subaru Outback — was found later Sunday March 13,2011 about two miles away.

Her case remains unsolved.

You can bet that if I was in Florida, I'd be eating pancakes this morning! In lieu of that, I urge everyone to send a donation to the Cue Center... Monica you are one impressive lady filled with integrity and compassion! How dare others accuse you of "watching too much CSI."

I wonder.. was David Perry fired as a former correctional officer? What is his record in New York?
I realize that those in law enforcement gravitate toward each other in relationships because it appears, only those in the profession would likely understand. It is much the same in health care.

However, as we have seen over and over, it is becoming much too common seeing those "sworn to protect and serve"
as the actual perpetrators.

Such cockiness, such arrogance...
A badge and gun are not license to kill indiscriminately! Nor are they tools to use against someone you can't get along with. There are much better, healthier options. Kelly was feeling good about completing her law enforcement training..and obviously confident...too confident! Why does the male ego resort to violence? Rejection is part of life. Murder is not the answer!

Respectfully,

Ladyjustice

Perry was working at Elmira Correctional Facility as a C.O. That place is the nastiest hole you could imagine. He faked an injury and ended up going out of work. But it was found out he was lying and then was arrested for fraud. His arrest came after he returned to Elmira. According to news accounts I have read Perry was abusive to his ex wife. It is easy to track down the articles by submitting his name to Google.
