Michael Tapley a Missing Person and Victim of Intimate Partner Homicide

The ink on the divorce papers were barley dry on March 6, 2003, when Gina Haskell of Gilbert Arizona divorced her husband of twenty years. Within a year Gina Haskell would change her name and become Gina Tapley. She married Michael Tapley from Snow Flake Arizona. Together they made their home on a forty acre parcel Michael had owned for a number of years prior to their marriage.Michael Tapley was a kind, gentle and simple man. He loved and lived his life to the fullest. Michael's passions were Lady his dog of ten years, his motorcycle and his pick-up truck.

Why am I telling you any of this? The family continues to seek answers in this case of intimate partner missing likely a result of a homicide and we need to spread the word.

Because Michael Tapley is not just missing, family and friends believe he was murdered and the Snow-Flake Arizona Police Department refuse to look at important information that would arrest the person or person's responsible for his death.

Sadly, the law enforcement in Snow Flake is not equipped to properly investigate this case. So I thought along with others, we would get the ball rolling in the right direction. Numerous Internet missing have posted information and reached out for help, only to have doors slammed in their face by the local sheriff's office.

On February 15, 2008, Gina and Michael were reported missing. On or about March 1, 2008 Gina showed up back home, without Michael. Sometime during her trip Gina dropped off Michael's dog at her Mother's home. Michael never went anyplace without his dog, ever.

Gina and the dog did not get along, Michael would never have left lady with her.

On March 10, 2008 the one hundred and fifteen pound Gina arrived at the Snowflake Taylor Police Department on Main street and spoke with Officer Joseph Baca. The comments in the report are as follows:

"Gina Tapley walked into our lobby and requested to talk to an officer."

Officer Notes: "I was aware that she and Michael were reported missing and that NCSO was looking for them. I brought Gina into the training room and had her sit down and asked how I could help her. I sat and listened to Gina while waiting for a detective to arrive. Gina net with Detective Roger Stevens. There was an interview.
at 9:28:59 Disposition- CLOSED.

Police closed the case on the missing couple and refused to open a missing persons or an investigation on Michael Tapley. Wow, they close the case because they do not have the man power and believe the lies that last person to see Michael alive was feeding them.

Have I mentioned that while this woman was married her husband filed two orders of protection against her?

Michael Tapley also petitioned the courts in Maricopa County, AZ for an order of protection on August 9, 2005. But, the couple reconciled and Michael dropped the action.Michael Tapley was preparing to divorce his hot tempered and abuser wife according to family and friends.

Gina's story is that while visiting her family she dropped Michael off at a casino. This also is not possible. In addition, police never checked Gina's handgun to see if it hand been recently fired. She was a fantastic shot. And the truck alleged important blood evidence on the bumpers and tire' s were removed and destroyed by the brother-in-law of Michael Tapley, who also happens to work at a tire store, according to sources.

The success of these cases depends on the public's assistance. Maybe you saw something suspicious and are apprehensive about coming forward. All tips are called in remain confidential. 8-Year Old Boy Charged with Double Murder

According to MSNBC- It's a crime that police officers in a small eastern Arizona community can hardly fathom yet have to deal with: an 8-year-old charged in the fatal shootings of his father and another man.

"Who would think an 8-year-old kid could kill two adults?" St. Johns Police Chief Roy Melnick said Friday.

The killings on Wednesday sent shock waves through St. Johns, a community of about 4,000 people. The boy had no disciplinary record at school, and there was no indication he had any problems at home, prosecutors said.

"It was such a tragedy," said the boy's defense attorney, Benjamin Brewer. "You have two people dead; you have an 8-year-old in jail. It tugs at the heart strings. It's a shocker, no doubt about it."

On Friday, a judge determined there was probable cause to show that the boy fatally shot his father, Vincent Romero, 29, and Timothy Romans, 39, with a .22-caliber rifle. The boy faces two counts of premeditated murder. Under Arizona law, charges can be filed against anyone 8 or older.

Police said the boy did not act on the "spur of the moment," though he didn't elaborate on what the motive might have been.

Police officers arrived at Romero's home within minutes of the shooting Wednesday. They found one victim just outside the front door and the other dead in an upstairs room.

Romans had been renting a room at the Romero house, prosecutors said. Both men were employees of a construction company working at a Salt River Project power plant.

The boy went to a neighbor's house and said he "believed that his father was dead," said Apache County attorney Brad Carlyon.

Melnick said police obtained a confession from the boy, but Brewer said police overreached in questioning the boy without representation from a parent or attorney and did not advise him of his rights.

"They became very accusing early on in the interview," Brewer said. "Two officers with guns at their side, it's very scary for anybody, for sure an 8-year-old kid."

A judge ordered a psychological evaluation of the boy, who was being held at the Apache County juvenile detention center.

"He had no record of any kind, not even a disciplinary record at school," he said. "He has never been in trouble before."

FBI statistics show instances of children younger than 11 committing homicides are very rare. According to recent FBI supplementary homicide reports, there were at least three such cases each year in 2003, 2004 and 2005; there were at least 15 in 2002. More recent statistics weren't available, nor were details of the cases.
Earlier this year in Arizona, prosecutors in Cochise County filed first-degree murder charges against a 12-year-old boy accused of killing his mother.
Romero had full custody of the child. The boy's biological mother visited St. Johns during the weekend from Mississippi, and returned to Arizona after the shootings, Carlyon said.
Brewer said the boy appeared to be in good spirits, but "he's scared."

"He's trying to be tough, but he's scared," according to his lawyer.

As a law professor at Howard University, Dawn Martin was stalked by a delusional, homeless, serial stalker of African-American female professors. The stalker, Leonard Harrison, was searching for the physical embodiment of his "fantasy" wife -- a fictional female character, Geneva Crenshaw, in a book, And We are not Saved, written by Prof. Derrick Bell. Instead of following its own security procedures to ban the stalker from campus, Howard responded to her requests for protection by refusing to renew her teaching contract. Prof. Martin sued Howard, alleging sexual harassment/hostile work environment and retaliation for protesting sexual harassment. Martin is the first case to present the issue of "gender profiling" in the employment context -- or the "working while female" factor. The application of “gender profiling” to sexual harassment cases will also set precedent for racial, ethnic, religious profiling harassment cases.

Justice Interrupted: Michael Tapley Navajo County, Arizona

Michael Tapley has been missing since February 15, 2008. The last person to see him alive was his wife Gina Tapley who told police in a report that she dropped him off in a casino in another state.

According to documents, Gina Tapley who was also reported missing until she magically appeared on March 8, 2008 in Navajo County, AZ, provided the Sheriff with enough information to basically [Not] investigate the case. On Septemnber 9, 2008, orginally on this blog we posted informatrion on the case. Now a disturbing new fact has surfaced, the Najavo Sheriff is in the middle of an election and is unable to be bothered with this until after the election.

So my question is for the people in Navajo County., Arizona. Why would anyone elect a person to any office who is refusing to investigate a possible homicide? Yes, I said homicide. Information points in that direction and yet, it is evident that a powerful Najavo County Sheriff is too busy campaigning for votes. The case of Michael Tapley must investigated. You, the County should be considered. There just may be a potential murderer walking among you, do you feel safe?
