Statement analysis involves examining several aspects of someone’s words, including verbs describing communication and uncompleted action; changes in verb tense; minimizing, intensifying, and editing adverbs; extraneous information; unique sensory details; and statement structure, which identifies the person’s focus—on the incident or somewhere else. Research has shown that distinct differences exist between a deceptive statement and a truthful one. By using the techniques of statement analysis, investigators can more readily detect truthfulness or deception in an individual’s words. Jamie Fields-Arrington: No Match for Evil

It was Saturday when Jamie Fields headed into town to run errands and have her hair done.  Her husband with whom she was ending her marriage had been threatening and stalking her.

Jamie Fields-Arrington, 33 was a parole and probation officer with the State of Missouri and likely believed her husband was dangerous but not to the point where he'd kill her.  Outside a St. Louis County beauty salon the couple argued.  Marion Lamont Arrington, shot Jamie three times before fleeing the scene.  Jamie was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Earlier today, the coward turn himself into police. Yes, anyone who murder's their wife should be caged up like an animal for the rest of their life.  The actions of those who murder a loved one is no different than a dangerous savage beast. Why he's only been charged with second-degree murder is disturbing.  The prosecutor  can easily add stalking, perhaps upgrade charges to first degree murder (because he had intent to kill) and fleeing the scene of a crime.

The dangers to anyone ending a relationship should be carefully considered when ending a dating relationship or marriage.  The reaction to rejection across the county is costing lives.  In cases where the victim has died her fears during the relationship or marriage remain silent, telling family or friends is considered "hearsay" and it's not enough when the person responsible is finally brought to trial.  As a precaution, victims are encouraged to prepare the evidentiary abuse affidavit and video, also known as the "EAA."  This removes hearsay and in a victims own words provides historical abuse documentation, gives law enforecment and prosecutors a profile on the offender and shows his pattern of conduct prior to the crime should the victim vanish or be killed.

Silence and The Blue Brotherhood of the Badge Cost Alexis Jackson Age 13, Her Life!

Alexis Jackson, 13, a 7th grade student at Glascow Middle school in Alexandria, Virginia was murdered by her father, John Jackson, a former police sergeant with the Fairfax County Police Department who then committed suicide. He resigned in 2010, around the same time he and his then estranged wife, Cindy, had filed for divorce, citing physical abuse during the marriage. Court Records show the divorce action was dropped in January.

In a story reporting on the murder-suicide in the Washington Post, one comment in particular caught my attention.

As a former co-worker of the wife (Cindy) I am appalled how she was victimized again through this article with such personal specific details about the brutality she endured. I understand court reports are public knowledge but seriously? What is wrong with journalists these days? Those details provided about her past were so inappropriate just to make a an article more 'dramatic'. Shame you Post Reporter.....you are part of the problem for protecting victims privacy!

The former co-worker calls out the fact that Cindy Jackson's abuse should be private, angry that the information was released. What we need to be angry about is the fact that intimate partner homicide is an epidemic and it hijacks the lives of eight to ten victims 365 days year. John Jackson murdered his own child. His actions during the marriage are very much a part of the ultimate act of power and control. In this case he planned out the murder of his daughter to get back at his wife. John Jackson wanted to teach Cindy a lesson; punish his wife by taking away her entire world, her child whom she loved more than life itself.

When we silence the crime, abusers gain more power and control over their victims. John Jackson, while on the police force,  got away with his dangerous and criminal behavior against his wife. He had no choice but to be given the opportunity to resign, save face, or face criminal charges, a special consideration often given to those in the "blue brotherhood."

There is nothing dramatic about violence in the home; it's a crime and against the law. It's not a private matter, especially when a person sworn to serve and protect terrorizes their own family during their job as a sworn law enforcement officer. 

Cindy Jackson went out to the driveway up to the parked SUV, screamed out to God as she smashed the glass on the passenger side window and discovered her daughter's lifeless body in the car.

Comments by former colleagues of the Sargeant and others on the Fairfax police department were words of "shock" and "disbelief" about the death of his daughter. But their non-responsive actions to Cindy Jackson's pleas for help while her husband was on the job only fueled the violence in the couple's relationship. There were no consequences to the violent offender. He showed his victim just how untouchable he was. And then, he showed the world who was in control by taking the life of Alexis Jackson, 13 years old!

Before you decide to personally express your opinions, note that I am the daughter of a Chicago Violent Crimes detective who murdered my mother in 1989, before committing suicide.  I know firsthand how these crimes go down.

Double Unsolved Homicide of Kenneth Kanehl and Pamela 

Barnes

Seven years after the 2005 murders of Kenneth Kanehl and Pamela Barnes, there have been no arrests or charges, and although much speculation and suspicion, naming of the main suspects will be a shock.

The pattern of conduct of persons close to the deceased has raised many questions by the families and those left behind in this awful tragedy.  Why have investigators let this slide?

Overview from guest, Jessie Kanehl, stepmother of Kenneth Kanehl:

On July 3, 2005, Kenneth Kanehl, 39 and Pamela Barnes, 41 were murdered in their home on the 5400 block of Brunswick, Waterford, MI.  Their bodies were discovered on Wednesday, July 6, 2005.  They were both shot in the head multiple times.  Kenny was off on vacation that week so his absence at work did not concern anyone.  On either Tuesday or Wednesday, Pam’s boss called her mother to notify her that Pamela did not show up for work on Tuesday.   Monday was the 4th of July Holiday.  Kenny and Pam were last seen at a friend’s house where they went for a 4th of July party and then to fireworks late Saturday night.  They were killed in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 3rd.  Pamela’s mom, Carolyn Barnes, called the Waterford Police Department on Wednesday, July 6th to do a welfare check at their home.  The police arrived there at approximately 5 p.m. and found their bodies.

Kenny and Pamela each had teenage daughters from previous relationships. One lived at the home, the other visited often. One has been affected seriously over the tragedy, the other has moved on and doing well.  What are the circumstances that connect a daughter and her father to the murders?

Chris Brown: A Tune No One Can Afford to Play

According to the site "E"On-Line, in what they hype as "exclusive," they claim Rihanna and Chris Brown may come together again to sign a duet during an "American Idol broadcast on the same stage?  There is also a quote from Rihanna's manager saying it's not true.  But is it true?

Are the powers that sell records and book concerts testing the waters to get a pulse on the public's reaction?

Remember, Chris Brown brutally beat Rihanna on February 15, 2009, just over three years ago.  The picture we all saw around the globe was horrifying. Rihanna did not surface much or give interviews with the exception of the hour long interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC's Prime Time to discuss what happened.  The beating was the first felony charge for Brown, he was sentenced to community service and probation until 2014.Since the beating, he's been in various altercations of sorts with his temper, but has so far remained free from a jail cell.

Although Chris Brown was not sentenced to jail time, he has been sentenced by the public court of opinion for his criminal behavior.  Just recently Brown performed at the Grammy's but not without public outcry.


There are a lot of fans asking to give Chris Brown another chance.  That Brown was only 19 years of age when he beat his then girlfriend Rihanna.  For someone like Chris Brown, it's not likely he will change anytime soon.  Once angry and violent, it always escalates into angrier and more dangerous.  This is a pot on a stove ready to boil over at any given time.

Teen Dating Expert and Columnist Susie Kroll said on her site earlier today, 

"about the rumors surrounding Chris Brown and Rihanna getting back together and the dangerous ramifications to our teens. We know that abused women and girls often return to the abuser several times, sometimes putting themselves in lethal danger. To do this while the public is watching sends extremely bad messages, and, yes, it comes with the territory of celebrity, just like the big black Bentley Brown drives. Chris Brown and Rihanna are role models to millions of teens and tweens all over the world, they could have made several responsible decisions after the incident, but neither seems to have done that."

There is a responsibility with being in the spotlight especially when the audience is made up of mostly teenagers.  There is also a responsibility from the media to not fuel this garbage in an attempt to get traffic or ratings to your sites.  Domestic Violence is a serious crime, not to be used on national stage, treated and promoted like a reuniting of a once popular circus act.

There is nothing entertaining about attempted murder!

ABC's Show "Private Practice" Sends Dangerous Message to Victims of Intimate Partner Violence

A long running television show on the ABC network "Private Practice" aired what I considered a dangerous episode for victims of intimate partner violence and homicide.  A woman married to a dangerous offender sustains serious injuries after being beaten by her husband.  In the hospital the victim talks about killing him.   One of the main characters in the show who plays a doctor brings the patient home with her because she has safety concerns for the woman.  The doctor in conversation with the victim tells her she has the power to leave basically without using violence.

The husband learns his wife is at the doctors home, storms in the front door, assaults the doctor knocking her out cold.  When the doctor comes too you see the victim over the husband, covered in blood, stabbing him repeatedly.

I realize it's "only" a television show, but clearly it sends the wrong message. The scene's of the abuse were incredibly scripted and played out as if they were actually happening.  The delivery was powerful.

I did not agree with the message "Private Practice" conveyed to viewers that it is okay to take matters into your own hands when you are married to a violent and dangerous psychopath.

Earlier today on the Show Time's Up, Tracey Murphy's real life was no different than the woman portraying the abuse victim on ABC's"Private Practice".  Her life was a living hell sustaining injuries that included broken bones, surgery and threats to her life if she ever left.  Ending the abuse was not easy, it took work, but Tracey got out, without committing murder.

Maybe if the shows writer and producers had consulted me I would have directed them to the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit and video found on the site Document The Abuse.com  or the book Time's Up.
