Bestselling author Murphy-Milano to speak at CCU
CONWAY – Nationally syndicated radio show host and bestselling author Susan Murphy-Milano will visit Coastal Carolina University to promote her new book, “Time’s Up: A Guide on How to Leave and Survive Abusive and Stalking Relationships.”
Murphy-Milano will hold a book talk and signing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the University Bookstore, located in Bill Baxley Hall. Her book will be available for purchase.
Murphy-Milano will also visit the University’s gender communication class at 11 a.m. in room 244 of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. She will discuss her book and the processes for escaping an abusive relationship.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Murphy-Milano is a specialist in family violence and works nationally with domestic violence programs, law enforcement and prosecutors, providing technical and consulting services in “high risk” domestic violence and stalking-related cases. She has been featured in newspapers, magazines, radio and television including, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Larry King Radio,” CNN, and US News and World Report.
