The High Cost of Doing the Right Thing with Michale Callahan
Michale Callahan,The Roth Show,ImaginePublicity
In 2000, Michale Callahan was the newly promoted Investigations Commander over a nine county area in East Central Illinois. His first assignment, to review the fourteen-year-old murder of a young, newlywed couple, Dyke and Karen Rhoads, would change his life forever, shattering his faith in the department he had loved and had dedicated his life to. Rumblings from the Downstate Illinois Innocence Project, The Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University and an impending show on CBS’s 48 Hours were that two men had been wrongfully convicted for these murders. This attention drew deep concern from the corrupt administration of Governor George Ryan and the politically compromised command of the Illinois State Police. During his career Lieutenant Michale Callahan had helped to put more than his fair share of criminals behind bars, but little did he know that the biggest adversaries he would ever face were those within his own department.
Michale Callahan,The Roth Show,ImaginePublicityThis true story is about his fight to search for the truth, no matter where it may lead, to search for the real killers and help free the two innocent men he learned were railroaded into prison. As the story unfolds it becomes his and every citizen’s worst nightmare when any crime is deemed “too politically sensitive “instead of justice for the victims. Callahan’s fight continued with his personal battle against a corrupt and powerful state that was more interested in covering up the scandal and silencing its employees than seeking justice. His battle led to the United States Supreme Court, where he continues to fight for his and every American’s First Amendment protection, the freedom of speech.

Michelle Parker: A Mother Remains Missing

The case of missing Mother of three, Michelle Parker, still remains unsolved.  She vanished on November 17, 2011 from Orlando, Florida.  The last person to see her alive, estranged boyfriend Dale Smith who is also the father of twin boys from their relationship.  And Dale Smith is the sole target of the Orlando Police Department's investigation.

Law enforcement continues to work this case.  But, the media attention has all but faded. The spotlight needs to return on this case. Michelle is out there somewhere and deserves to be found.

Ever stop and think why the last person to see their wife or girlfriend alive never assists in searches or makes a plea for their safe return?  Why does the only suspect in cases of intimate partner homicide almost always lawyer up, refusing to cooperate with police?  That's because if it walks and talks like a duck, it is!

The family needs the public’s assistance more than ever before to  pass out information and posting flyer’s. Please get the information on your social networks. Visit the face page link set up by the family http://www.facebook.com/michelleparkermissingperson and if you live in the area have your local community groups and churches assist where directed by the Parker family.

Police are urging anyone with information about the case to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.

Brittanee Marie Drexel: A Prayer for Answers: Holding Onto Hope for Their Missing Daughter

The worst nightmare for any missing person's family is waking up each new day without answers.  For three solid years the family of Brittanee Drexel, 17 have prayed to God their beautiful doe eyed ray of sunshine would be found.

On April 25, 2009, Dawn Drexel, her mother received news her daughter was missing. Immediately from her home in Rochester, NY she drove to Myrtle Beach, SC.,looking for her daughter.

Brittanee had gone without her parents permission or knowledge with a group of older kids to Myrtle Beach for Spring Break.  Like most teenagers her age she'd thought her parents would never find out.

The kids secured rooms together at various hotels on the strip.  Approximately four kids to each room.  Brittanee was with her group at the Bar Harbor Hotel on Ocean Blvd., when she vanished.  She was captured and recorded on the Bluewater Resort video camera around 8:15 PM, and it was assumed she was returning back to her hotel the Bar Harbor.  But, she never made it back.  And all the kids that talked her into taking the trip and watched out for her by making sure Brittanee had money for food and always knowing where she was, suddenly threw another dagger at a distraught mother, the kids refused to take Dawn's calls when all she wanted information about her daughter.  Instead, the kids packed up and headed back to Rochester, NY, refusing to provide any information or cooperate with law enforcement.

This Saturday, the Drexel family returns to Myrtle Beach to plant and dedicate a tree in her memory.  Hopefully, they won't have to wait out another year of keeping their cells phones charged around the clock for when the call finally comes in to say Brittanee has been found.  You can bring her home.  This has been their prayer since April 25, 2009.  And the CUE Center for Missing person's have worked from the beginning enlisting their trained and certified search teams, working directly with law enforcement on numerous large scale searches to bring Brittanee home.  The Cue Center a national not-for-profit organization, is the light of hope for so many missing persons families across the county.  The Cue Center will also be in attendance at the tree dedication this weekend.

Please attend the Dedication for Brittanne Drexel out at Market Commons on the morning of April 28th 2012  (9:00AM)
Dawn and her Family will be there to help plant a tree and to dedicate a place for all to go and pray for Brittanne. The spot is at the Grand Park where the balloons will be.
This marks the 3rd year of still not knowing where Brittanne may be.
Come and be with her family to show support from all of us who live in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Peter Hyatt

The central theme of Peter Hyatt’s personal blog is “Statement Analysis“, a method of linguistic polygraphy which seeks to discern truth from deception found within speech. Many of these cases are discussed on “The Peter Hyatt Show” on Blog Talk Radio, or on the shows of others which invite Peter Hyatt to appear.
Peter Hyatt works with law enforcement, private citizens, attorneys, and other organizations, particularly on missing persons cases.  Peter frequently works consulting with law enforcement throughout the country.
“Although Statement Analysis is of great value to an investigator, it is also a great tool for counselors, therapists, human resources, educators, and all those interested in truth.  Equally valuable for private life, the ability to discern truth from deception is something that can be learned, practiced, and excelled at.  In fact, everyone from junior high principals to parents need to learn to discern truth from fiction.” Peter Hyatt
Peter and his wife Heather write timely articles analyzing high profile crimes, often showing readers areas of deception within television and newspaper interviews.  Check out the blog:  Statement Analysis and get to know the Hyatts and the fascinating science of analyzing words and how they are used.
Peter Hyatt is a civil investigator who has conducted more than 2,500 interviews including children’s interviews.  He uses Statement Analysis is his work, and teaches Statement Analysis in Interviewing.
He also works part-time as an analyst for law enforcement and private companies.  He is the host of “The Peter Hyatt Show” while appearing on various other programs as a guest analyst, including on the forum of “Crime Wire.”  He has authored many articles, some of which can be found here. He does pro bono work for families in “cold cases”; doing analysis of prior interviews.  Tonight we discuss missing intimate partner homicides and those who appear to get away with murder!

Christmas on the Road "Merry Christmas"

This tree is 135 feet tall.  Taken at old town square Plaza Don Luis in Albuquerque, New Mexico
The one great thing about working cases of missing persons and unsolved homicides is that I never know where my travels take me. Everyday is a new adventure.

Good or bad, I now believe that everything in our lives happens for a reason.  I have been fortunate these past couple of years in truly witnessing miracles either of important life events or individuals, causing me to embrace and not question.  So many amazing people, literally crossing my path. Some for reasons I did not explain and for their own sake releasing them as if I was holding the string on a balloon up into the sky.  It is they whom I miss and love the most.

Family is so important and I always find myself in envy of all whom can share and connect during this special time of year. Whatever you do, remember to always hold them close.

May God bless all of us and keep us safe!

Merry Christmas!

Susan

Intimate Partner Homicide: The Writing is on the Wall

Statement Analysis plays an important role in crime. It is an accurate process by which a trained analyst explains language either verbal or written to determine truthfulness, deception and hidden information a person with direct knowledge uses when attempting to disarm others as to their involvement in a crime.

I refer to statement analysis as the art of unconscious vomiting of the truth. In cases of intimate partner homicide it goes to the deception of the truth.

Earlier today on The Roth Show, Peter Hyatt, Investigator and Statement Analysis Expert discussed his work regarding cases where husbands whose wives "suddenly vanish" play a critical role when they immediately hide behind a lawyer instead of helping in an investigation. After all this is their wife and mother of their children, yet when a person flat out refuses to cooperate it is deception.

We discussed the case of missing New Jersey mother Randy Amanda Lehrer, last seen on Friday, August 12, 2011. His deception in Randy's case begins with calling her place of employment and telling them "she returned to her native Canada to take care of her sick mother." The author of the statement is being deceptive which is one example of statement analysis. Like Pinocchio, Steven Acnua (the husband) was caught in a major lie.

The case of missing mother Susan Cox Powell who vanished on December 6, 2009, from Salt Lake City, Utah goes towards Josh Powell's use of words and sentences during media interviews the most recent when he and his father are interviewed on ABC's Night Line.

To listen to the re-broadcast of The Roth Show click the link below:

I know that when Walt Disney created the Pinocchio character he had no idea it could be applied to statement analysis, but it fits perfectly.

Every husband whose wife and mother to their children "suddenly" vanishes where they were the last known person to have contact with them are pathetic cowards. Those involved in intimate partner homicide are Pinocchio's minus a conscious and heart.

Over time their puppet like mentality, words and predictable actions will be the key to their own permanent jail cell.

In statement analysis, the writing is on the wall!

Jounalist Isabelle Zehnder has covered this case from the beginning wrote an excellent article on the case: http://www.examiner.com/missing-persons-in-national/would-susan-cox-powell-run-off-with-a-man-emotionally-torment-friends-family
