Chicago Lawyer Charged in Double Murder of Mom and Baby

On January 24, 2009, Nova Henry, 24 and her 9 month old baby girl Ava were gunned down in their south side apartment.

This case likely would have received little attention if not for the fact that both her children were fathered by the currently married New York Knicks basketball star, Eddy Curry.

In 2007, Nova Henry filed for paternity aginst the basketball player for child support of their son. She hired a lawyer by the name of Fredrick Goings to respresnt her in court. The two briefly had a relationship. The attorney was harassing and stalking the young mother and she filed a court order of protection against her own lawyer.

Today, the attorney was arrested for the brutal murder of she and her child. Charged with 2 counts of first degree murder.

This coward has yet to laywer anyone in his defense. Maybe, he will say the taxpapers some money and take himself as a client.

Police sources confirmed Goings and Henry had "a relationship" and the motive for the shooting was "domestic related." Nova Henry let Goings into the apartment on Jan. 24th and the two quarreled.

Police said surveillance images and other evidence linked Fredrick Goings to the case.
