Join the Crime Wire Team as we welcome Kelly Osborn, (Sheena’s Mother) and Guest Host, Statement Analyst Peter Hyatt, to dig into some of the facts surrounding the investigation, or lack thereof, of the unsolved death of Sheena Morris, a beautiful 22-year-old.

Dr. Michael Berkland, a Forensic Pathologist who, along with Dr. Michael Baden, re-examined the medical examiner’s reports and both agreed that Sheena’s death was not a suicide.  The family has since been able to have the manner of death changed to “undetermined” on Sheena’s Death Certificate.  The authorities in Bradenton Beach, FL are not willing to re-open the investigation, even in light of these findings.
On January 1, 2009, Sheena Morris was murdered in her hotel room, yet authorities quickly labeled it a suicide.  She was hanging by her neck in the shower by one of her Yorkies’ dog leash.  The crime scene was most fascinating as were the circumstances surrounding her ‘sudden’ suicide.
Sheena placed a call to 911 the night before reporting domestic violence by her dangerous boyfriend.  She even took pictures of her injuries,  a cut on her neck, and one on her ring finger.
The people in the next room called 911 the night before her murder to report the domestic disturbance and sound of violence next door.
Sheena Morris had obtained damaging evidence on alleged illegal activities. Shortly before she died, the keys to her apartment were taken and she was physically attacked. You would think that the 911 call she made to police would have an impact on the investigation, or the other facts of significance in her death that are just now surfacing, but they do not. Not even the 4 banker boxes full of files, copies of ledgers, key names and dates and other information seen carried from the out of the apartment, according to witnesses, by the last person to see Sheena Morris alive.
Instead, her death was incorrectly ruled a suicide by  Bradenton Beach police department. The County Sheriff’s office, who have more experience in death investigations of intimate partner homicides, should have been called in to handle this case, and because of the association to organized crime, but for some reason this case has remained untouchable by investigating authorities.
The family of Sheena Morris are not giving up the fight for truth and justice.  They are petitioning the Governor of Florida to re-open the investigation with the new evidence.

Statement analysis involves examining several aspects of someone’s words, including verbs describing communication and uncompleted action; changes in verb tense; minimizing, intensifying, and editing adverbs; extraneous information; unique sensory details; and statement structure, which identifies the person’s focus—on the incident or somewhere else. Research has shown that distinct differences exist between a deceptive statement and a truthful one. By using the techniques of statement analysis, investigators can more readily detect truthfulness or deception in an individual’s words. With these insights, investigators become more efficient and effective in their abilities and gain better focus on the investigation……FBI

Peter Hyatt

The central theme of Peter Hyatt’s personal blog is Statement Analysis, a method of linguistic polygraphy which seeks to discern truth from deception found within speech. Many of these cases are discussed on “The Peter Hyatt Show” on Blog Talk Radio, or on the shows of others which invite Peter Hyatt to appear.
Peter Hyatt works with law enforcement, private citizens, attorneys, and other organizations, particularly on missing persons cases.  Peter frequently works consulting with law enforcement throughout the country.
“Although Statement Analysis is of great value to an investigator, it is also a great tool for counselors, therapists, human resources, educators, and all those interested in truth.  Equally valuable for private life, the ability to discern truth from deception is something that can be learned, practiced, and excelled at.  In fact, everyone from junior high principals to parents need to learn to discern truth from fiction.” …..Peter Hyatt
Peter and his wife Heather write timely articles analyzing high-profile crimes, often showing readers areas of deception within television and newspaper interviews.  Check out the blog:  Statement Analysis and get to know the Hyatts and the fascinating science of analyzing words and how they are used.
Peter Hyatt is a civil investigator who has conducted more than 2,500 interviews including children’s interviews.  He uses Statement Analysis is his work, and teaches Statement Analysis in Interviewing.
He also works part-time as an analyst for law enforcement and private companies.  He is the host of “The Peter Hyatt Show” while appearing on various other programs as a guest analyst, including on the forum of “Crime Wire.”  He has authored many articles and does pro bono work for families in “cold cases”; doing analysis of prior interviews.

Following The Money in Baby Lisa Case

Peter Hyatt wrote an excellent analysis on missing baby Lisa and her mother. Peter is an investigator with the State of Main and a premiere expert on statement analysis. Action, pattern of conduct, and behavior are all important factors in criminal cases. He writes a popular daily blog titled "www.Seamusoriley.blogspot.com covering many of the cases we see in the media.

"Statement Analysis is the scientific study of words seeking to discern truth from deception."

Deborah Bradley: Following the Money

1 month ago, 10 month old baby, Lisa Irwin was reported kidnapped by her parents.

Statement Analysis is one thing; money is another.

Statement Analysis concluded that:

Deborah Bradley was deceptive about what happened to Baby Lisa;
Lisa was never kidnapped.
Deborah Bradley has indicated that Lisa is dead.
Jeremy Bradley has been deceptive about what happened when he got home that night; covering for Deborah Bradley.
Jeremy Irwin has indicated that Lisa is dead.

They refused to allow the bedroom to be searched, but when it was, the odor of decomposition was there.

They refuse to be interviewed separately.

They have refused to have the boys interviewed, delaying until enough time has elapsed and the interviews so tainted that interviewing them would be meaningless.

They have reason to lie.
They have reason to not cooperate with police.
They have reason to hire defense attorneys. America gets this.

Follow the money.

If Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin received, for example, $250,000 in "licensing agreements", it would explain a lot. Remember another killer mom that received more than a quarter of a million dollars for a few photos of her child? Receiving a big payout would explain:

1. "Wild Bill" Stanton's sensitive response to media about the $100,000 "reward" in which media, sensing that he would not give a straight answer, asked him plainly and he said, if someone brings "that kid" here, the $100,000 would be given.

2. Why it is that a $750 per hour attorney would come across the country to be part of a small case.

3. Why Jeremy Irwin would need to no longer work, when just one month ago, he couldn't pay his cell phones bill.

4. Why local media is ignored in exchange for national media, even though they claim she was kidnapped meaning she would likely be local;

5. Why Halloween was filmed by Good Morning America's crew.

Follow the money.

Let's say that a major network paid $250,000 in licensing fees and the money is, today, in an escrow account, in trust, for Deborah Bradley's "defense" in a criminal case.

It is held "safely" for her, when needed and "if" someone would find "that kid" and "bring her here", the $100,000 would be "paid." By being able to prove that $100,000 can be produced, those who claimed that a reward exists are legally safe from fraudulently promoting a "reward money."

Still following the money?

$250,000 sits in escrow, waiting...

along with the promise of movie deals, book deals, "exclusives" and so on.

Question for Deborah Bradley to consider:

Is Deborah Bradley worth more money to her attorney free, or under arrest?

No arrest means no defense.

No need for defense means no money for a defense attorney.

Deborah Bradley is worth more arrested than she is walking free.

Deborah Bradley is worth more in a long, drawn out trial, including the pre trial motions, and the constant HLN round the clock coverage.

Deborah Bradley should carefully consider these things, as she listen to the advisors who have talked her out of interviews, searching, cooperation, interviewing the boys, and telling police what really happened to Lisa on that fateful night. Those who have sabotaged a near confession do so in order to profit from the case. If the case goes cold, given America's hatred of Deborah Bradley, she is not worth as much money as she would be in a Casey-like circus trial.

Deborah Bradley should carefully consider that she is worth more under arrest, to her "team" than she is if the case simply goes cold.

America does not feel sympathy for Deborah Bradley. Therefore, if Deborah Bradley can't be sold to the American people as a sympathetic mother, she will have to be sold as a villain. This may include Deborah in handcuffs.
