The Susan Murphy Milano Show "Time's Up!" Highlights the Amanda Jones Case-Thursday 3/8/2012 at 2pm ET

On August 14, 2005 in Hillsboro, Mo., Amanda Jones 26 and nine months pregnant informed her family after church she was meeting with her unborn baby’s father Bryan Westfall.   Turn the time clock back to nine months earlier when she’d meet Westfall at an event and then became pregnant by him.  Amanda was going to have the baby.  Bryan Westfall shows his hand early by insisting she terminate the pregnancy, “he’d pay for the abortion.”   Here is where “pattern of conduct” in this case is important prior to Amanda vanishing into thin air. It applies to thousands of unsolved and missing person’s homicide cases each year.
A controlling angry individual offers a solution to what they believe is not going to happen.  When a victim doesn’t take to the idea or the resolution by someone with whom they are involved, an individual may give their victim one more chance to change their mind before committing the perfect crime.

Often they the offender arranges an isolated location to meet with their victim, so they can “talk.”  Mind you this isn’t a crime.  Days, weeks and months prior to the location, the offender has carefully selected the area where the two will meet.  Instructions are given to a victim to meet alone because they are going to talk about private matters.

Bryan Westfall was the last known individual to be with Amanda Jones.  This doesn’t in anyway make him responsible for where she may have ultimately ended up that day.  But, then again, an offender never owns up to their ultimate actions.  They are skilled at playing the perfect game of catch me if you can!

Today, on the show Time's Up we will be discussing the case with Monica Caison, founder of the CUE Center for Missing Person's and Amanda's mother Bertha Propst.

Later after the show, follow the blog and we will post the podcast and additional information on the intimate partner missing mother's case.
