"A Murder Victims's Clean Feet and a Million Dollar Insurance Policy"

Approximately one month before Dominique (Nique') Leili is reported missing she sends this photo to her sister from her personal cell phone via a text message after receiving medical attention for being smacked by her husband.

On or about June 11, 2011, Nique' goes missing.  It's a Saturday, she doesn't have to report for work.  In a clever mind of an abusive partner or husband, it's about buying time, cleaning up and often covering their tracks.  A common thread among "suddenly" reported females who are reported missing have suffered years of verbal and physical abuse in silence. They are isolated from friends and family.  Rarely are calls if ever made to the authorities for help because either she feels the violence is manageable and under control or they are too embarrassed to reach out and tell someone.

A clever abuser will often use the children born during the marriage as their emotional hostage for the victims.  Common threats of "you will never see your children again" to "you will die if you disobey me" and "how would be if the kids have to visit you at a cemetery" are used and held over a victims head.  A mother will do everything in her power to protect her children at all costs.  Yes, even remaining with a dangerous household predator.

Very few cases does the last known individual to ever see the person  alive, assist in searching for their missing partner or wife.  There have been a few missing person's cases recently, where husbands helped the searchers, but the men confessed and were arrested.

On June 13, 2011the husband files for divorce.  Keep in mind Nique' is still missing and yet papers are filed to end what was likely ended a few days before, her life.   But it's all part of the game a clever abuser plays.  A not so unique pattern of conduct occurring in 90% of all intimate partner homicide cases.

On June 16, 2011, Dominique's body is discovered by searcher's less than a mile from the home.  Her body is nude, covered with leaves and badly decomposed because of the heat.  Her husband remains captive inside the marital home (that she purchased) with his criminal attorney.  Why did he need a criminal attorney?  Again, it's part of the C.Y.A. plan of a clever offender. Just in case anyone wants to question or take him into the station it won't likely happen with a legal watchdog in ones living room the day a body is recovered.  Sprinkle in sudden vomiting (on command) upon hearing the news loving wife has been found; and you've momentarily disarmed a group of intelligent law enforcement officers.

The coroner notes that Nique's feet are completely clean.  Translation:  she didn't walk, she was carried from another location.  Someone had to physically carry her.  Someone had to put leaves over her entire body so she would remain hidden.  Someone had to murder her at a different location and then take her to a spot not many would notice.  The cause of death has yet to be determined.

There is approximately a million dollars give or take in insurance policies that are still unpaid.  The husband is the stone cold suspect in the murder of Nique' Leili and yet he's been allowed to move out of the State of Georgia and re-located to someplace in Vermont.

The Gwinett County detectives haven't been very nice to Nique's surviving daughter Alex Page, now in her second year of college, when she calls for update's on the case.  She is after all a homicide survivor.  Police are treating this as an open homicide investigation so why punish a daughter for speaking out in public and seeking justice?

In July, 2011, there was trouble in the Leili home with calls to the police, arguments and insinuation of past violence in the marriage of Matthew and Nique’ Leili.   Nique’ went missing on July 8, leaving behind her purse, keys, credit cards, and, most importantly, her children, her husband says there was an argument and she walked out of the house.
A week later, in the hot Georgia summer, her decomposing remains were found on July 16 less than a mile from her home, completely naked, face down in a shallow grave covered by leaves.  Her clothes have never been found.  Interestingly, her husband, Matthew Leili had already filed for divorce citing abandonment. How did he know she wasn’t coming back? Could it be because he had spy gadgets everywhere, including surveillance cameras, tape recordings of all phone conversations, keyloggers on all computers, and trackers on all cell phones? Seems he would have a pretty good idea where his wife was headed considering the lengths taken to keep track of her.
Named a suspect in the murder of Nique’, Matthew has not been arrested and no charges have been filed. He has since taken two of the couple’s young children and moved them out of state, isolating them from Nique’s family.

Joining the show for the hour to examine some of the known details of the case of murdered Nique’ Leili is her grown daughter,

Alex Page, and sister, Amy Elk.
