Houston Detective's Asking Public's Help: Murder Suspect Alan Erskine At Large

UPDATE Suspect Found: HOUSTON - Police say a man accused of killing his girlfriend and then calling 911 to report the crime has committed suicide. Alan Erskine, 38, was wanted by the Houston Police Department on a murder charge. He was found dead around 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 13300-block of Northborough. Investigators say he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Erskine was charged with murder in the killing of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Lavandra Stevens . Houston Police have an all points bulletin out for Alan Erskine, 38.  He is wanted for the murder of his girlfriend Lavandra Stevens, 24, found in her apartment located in the 4200 block of W. 34th near Mangum on Sunday at 6:00 a.m.

Police say after Alan Erskine killed Lavandra, he made a call to 911 and then fled the scene in his 1980 black Chevrolet Silverado long bed pick-up truck license plate number 39YGB5.
