Technology plays a big part in missing person's investigations. But what happens when a a husband or boyfriend uses technology to track their victims from inside their own home? Tracks their personal cell phones as in the case of missing mother Stacy Peterson? Places special devices on vehicles of those involved in intimate partner violence and stalking?
How are law enforcement agencies able to deal with the aftermath of a missing person's case or homicide when the only person of interest or suspect is a technology wizard? It's virtually impossible for law enforcement to track technologies used. Case example is Nique Leili, 44 who was reported missing and found murdered near her home on July 16, 2011. Her husband Matthew Leili named a suspect used sophisticated technology from camera's to tracking devices in the home, on cell phones and under the hood of vehicles.
Tomorrow on The Time's Up show we will discuss Leili case among others and provide insights into technology, crime and what victims of unsolved crimes can do to obtain information from professionals in order to seek justice for their loved ones. To Listen Live go to www.herewomentalk.com
