The shear anguish of not knowing where this woman, mother of three, daughter, sister and friend to so many increases the anxiety and pain victims families experience three hundred and sixty five days a year seven days a week. The vanishing have no voice, but once found, the clues in their disappearance and untimely death tell often tell the story.

I know someone out there has information on what happened to Bethanie Dougherty and all anyone wants is to bring this woman home where she belongs.  It is Christmas and I am asking that you have information to please contact the authorities listed below.  Or you can email me at murphymilano@gmail.com and the information will be forwarded.

It should be of no surprise that in this case as in others across the country Bethanie was in the final process of a divorce. Her cell phone, keys and car remained at the home.   Her son was the last person to see his mother alive before he went to bed that night At approximately 3:00 AM, A neighbor heard screams and called 911. Bethanie was reported missing later that day.  A massive air and land search  was conducted but, nothing turned up

The case is registered and with the CUE Center for Missing Persons a world-wide organization working with families bringing awareness and conducting searches when a loved one goes missing. The New York State Police, The FBI, Project Jason and others have also helped get the word out. Fliers were widely distributed, not just locally, but around the state and the country. The family has also created a Web site, www.findbethaniedougherty.com. In addition, Bethanie's case was included in a program that distributes playing cards to jail inmates with pictures and information about unsolved cases on the cards."

Police continue to search for clues, and there is a $15,000 reward being offered by the family.  If you have any information, you're asked to call the Broome County Sheriff's office at 315-778-1196.
