Police Officer arrested for the Murder of Missing Mom Wynetta Wright and Baby Jaylin

You may not have heard about 20 year-old Wynetta Wright (pictured above) and her one year old daughter Jaylin who were reported missing on Tuesday from Hillcrest, MD, and sadly its only now we are because the mother and toddlers bodies were discovered.

This as much about a missing persons case as it is a intimate partner homicides. So many of missing persons cases are related directly to a spouse or former boyfriend. They are always the last person with whom victims have direct contact, and almost always the last ones to see them alive. And it can take years before remains are discovered and even longer for justice. Women and men all victims of intimate partner violence in my opinion, who are still missing; Renee Pernice, Samatha Smith, Lisa Stebic, Patty Vaughan, Hope Meek, Stacy Peterson, Michael Tappley, Billy Smoliniski, John James Morris, Venus Stewert, Brandy Hanna, Star Boomer, Melanie Methanie, Beth Bently and police cadet Kelly Rothwell are among a few who remain on an ever growing list.

The young mother was to be in court this past Tuesday for a paternity and child support hearing. And the evening before she received a call from the child's father to meet with him and talk. They had had no communication since the birth of the baby.

The father and person arrested, Richard Phillips a District of Columbia police officer assigned to the vice-unit working drugs and street crimes. He is now being held without bond and his police powers have been revoked.

The District of Columbia Officer was very married and she likely had no clue of the relationship until the arrest. So he takes matters into his own hands because he is angry with the fact that she is taking him to court for support of the child.

Wynetta died from basically being beaten to death. The one year old child was found still strapped in her car seat Jaylin died from the extreme heat.

In far too many of these cases why does anyone let their guard down and meet someone in a secluded area to talk? It serves no purpose and as in this tragic example, it will get you killed. Wynetta did alert her mother as to where she was going and with whom she would be meeting. In a lot of these cases that does not often happen. Victims do not tell someone where they are going or meeting. Quick police work resulted in finding both mother and daughter. In my opinion, funeral expenses for both mother and child should come out of the officers accumulated retirement money.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please send donations to:

I cannot stress enough the dangers of ending a relationship and having a plan in place before you announce to the world that you are ending the relationship, going to court or moving on with your life. Tragedy does not have to be the outcome when you are smart and have a solid plan.

f you are in a relationship that has a history of violence, simply mustering up the courage to confront the person and say it is over, without the proper tools, can cost you, your life!

The book "Time's Up A Guide on How To Survive and Abusive and Stalking Relationship" is the prescription, if you will, that every person must obtain before they announce they are leaving. Below is an example from Chapter 4, one of many unique tools provided in the book. It is available on Amazon.com, or you can purchase via e-book or on a cd. If you have questions, the email address is: timesupforjustice@gmail.com

Before you decide that you have had enough and are ending the relationship create for yourself the "Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit" and video (shown below).

If you do nothing else, please take one important step that if something does happen to you, if you do vanish like Stacy Peterson, Vensus Stewart, Rachel Anderson, Susan Powell, Lisa Stebic,
Kelly Rothwell or arefound murdered like Monica Beresford-Redmond, Franki Jacobson, Renee Pagel,Summer Inman, and others where the person responsible has gotten away with murder that your voice and record of the abuse will be captured and recorded. Do it for you friends, family and loved ones. Do it for your children. Do it for you!
