The Devil's Closet: Best Crime Thriller of the Year

"The Devil's Closet, in bookstores now, Author" Stacy Dittrich in her new book has created a fascinating monster and an equally fascinating team of monster hunters. CeeCee Gallagher is a hard-nosed detective trying to track down a man who abducts and kills little girls. But, it's the big girl on his trail that the killer really wants......

This is no ordinary killer; he borders on the surreal. The thought that he might be living just down the street from you is disturbing.

This is a quick read that may appeal more to women than men due to the heavy emphasis on romantic entanglements within the monster hunting team.
Dittrich, a real-life police officer, provides plenty of twists and turns and non-stop action.

This is her first novel, the first of many more to come. This is the first from a series based on he character Cee Cee Gallagher. I would not be surprised if in the very near furture Stacy Dittrich's Cee Cee Gallager character shows up on the silver screen.

The book is available at all bookstores and on amazon.com

The Circus Returns

Drew Peterson is resurfacing, this time he and he legal marshmallow roaster will appear on the CBS Early Show to discuss an upcomming book by a self-published Canadian businessman to be released later this week.

The front cover of the book has 2 photo's one of Peterson hooked up to a polygraph machine and the other is a family portrait with Stacy, Drew and all four children taken a couple years ago.

Will County is no closer to charging and arresting Drew Peterson on either Stacy Peterson or Kathleen Savio. And as an important side note to this circus lets not forget Lisa Stebic.

In this game of catch me if you can, with the one anniversary of Stacy's vanishing act at the end of October one wonders if James Glascow's Prosecutors have presented enough of a case for a grand jury to even indict Peterson?

Too many questions and not enough answers in domestic violence, vanishing, murder, stalking, and felony cases not only in Illinois but across the Country.

If nothing else this should be a wake-up call to the Department of Justice. This is your front row seat to real life tragedies within our legal system .

Now, let's get busy and fix the problem!

Orange County Practicing Blue Justice?

On Wednesday 9/24/08, Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary's daughter called for help saying she was a victim of domestic violence.

The Mount Dora Police Department released the 911 calls claiming her husband, an Orange
County deputy, had allegedly beaten her:

"I don't know what to do because I thought if a cop came to the house in a domestic violence case somebody had to go to jail."

Though she appeared to have suffered only minor injuries. The 911 operator asked if she was bleeding or if she needed ice packs. "No, I don't. I'm bleeding, but I'm okay," said Beary's daughter.

Seems the "blue boys" have reassigned the alleged abuser Deputy Alan Brooks. They did arrest him, he was released and will continue working pending the outcome of the "investigation.

Here's the call from 911, the link . Procedures on how departments handle one of their own officers arrested for domestic violence. In these cases where there is a weapon, the victim's safety needs to be properly addressed. It was not.

Who is say this incident will not anger Deputy Alan Brooks into harming his wife further?

And what about a court order of protection? Can the Deputies wife secure one in court, before a judge? Or is that not an option?

She was beaten and he's allowed to go back on the job? That's called Blue Justice, in Orange County!

Alec Baldwin: "The New Poster Boy "

Alec Baldwin will be appearing on Good Morning America on 9/24/2008, to discuss his new parenting book released today, by St. Martin's press titled - "A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey through Fatherhood and Divorce.

You may recall the voice mail messsage Alec Baldwin left for his eleven- year old daughter using less than favorable language. It was the call heard across the country.

In one of the reviews it says "don't judge him" ..." Baldwin makes a powerful case for re-exaiming divorce and child custody issue's".

It is obvious Alec Baldwin is the poster boy for "poor parental hostility." I do not agree that this particular book makes a powerful case. Baldwin's phone message did that all by itself. It takes two to conceive a baby. There was a time when Baldwin and his now ex-wife loved one another very much. For whatever reason when the two divorced it became extremely ugly.

The person most effected by the "action and reaction" behavior was their daughter. But, this does not excuse Baldwin's actions, allowing him to conveniently turn the situation around like a wounded warrior. We all heard the voice message, and that cannot be changed.

If Baldwin had written the book discussing divorce and custody issues that plague both mothers and fathers in court houses throughout the country because he had experienced first hand how the courts are unfair in their lack of understanding in these matters, I would appauld his efforts.

Writing this book is like placing butane fluid on an already burning fire.

I will put out a cordial invitation for Alec Baldwin to come on my radio show and discuss his book.

The one "he didn't want to write". But, I highly doubt he will accept.

You can let ABC know your thoughts about Alec Baldwin and PAS, an abuser's favorite legal defense, by posting a comment at http://www.abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/comments?type=story&id=5832850

Guests:

Reknown, Los Angeles Criminal Defense Lawyer-- David Diamond
to discuss and present this week in crime. We will get the other side of justice interrupted by speaking with Mr. Diamond about his perceptions of cases in the media, how the media effects criminal cases, and how justice is interrupted for defendant's, suspect's and people of interest.

Founder and Executive Director of PAVE--ANGELA ROSE:At the age of seventeen, Angela was abducted at knifepoint while leaving her job at a shopping mall in the suburbs of Chicago. She was taken and then assaulted by a repeat sex offender on parole for murder. Angela was eventually let go by the offender; a bruised and disoriented Rose was then shocked at the treatment of her case by the authorities. All of the anguish that existed during the abduction was immediately replaced by anger and a strong sense of vigilance. Angela worked with the perpetrator's previous victims as well as the community to help enact Illinois Sexually Dangerous Persons Commitment Act in 1998. Upon attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Angela became frustrated by the lack of activism on this crucial issue. Angela then founded the organization PAVE to create education and action surrounding the issues of sexual violence, which was inclusiveness to all individuals and their experiences. As the Executive Director, Angela has cultivated PAVE into a national organization and continues to inspire others to join the movement to end sexual assault by traveling the country and abroad.

Survivor and Advocate Tory Bowen: Survivor of rape who had the courage to speak out about a silent crime. She will discuss how the court system tried to prevent the truth to come out by forcing her to use the word "sex" as opposed to "rape" during a rape trial.

"Luckiest Girl in Texas" Is Murdered By "The Perfect Abuser"

By: Susan Murphy-Milano

" luckiest girl in Texas."...

"Female 26 years old AMARILLO, Texas United States

MySpace Last Login: 9/5/2008
Mood: enlightened
View My: Pics Videos

The above photo is of Amy Yager, taken from her myspace page. She is not so lucky, on September 12, 2008 in her home, Jeff David Yager, a Federal Officer, beat the luckiest woman in the world. Then he finished her off and fired 2 rounds into her body. One to the torso, the other at close ranger to her head.

Below is Jeffrey David Yager. The photo caption on my space says "MyBaby and his gun"

This big tin badge coward, murdered his wife. He sits in a Texas jail. Could he or someone post the $25,000 cash required to get out of jail until his trial? It is a possibility.

A news story appeared in a Texas paper on the murder and I was outraged by commentary left by readers claiming to be friends or realted to the couple here is a sample:

"i think a lot of you that have wrote these blogs should be ashame of you're self .you don't know how it is to come up with nothing and try to make something of you're self DAVID GREW UP WITH A HARD LIFE .I KNOW BECOUSE I WAS THER TO SEE HIM EVERY DAY .I KNOW WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG BUT THERE IS A WEAK SPOT IN EVERY ONE OF US .HOW MANY RICH PEOPLE HAVE KILLED IN A BIT OF ANGER? THIS COULD HAVE BEEN YOU JUST AS WELL AS AMY CLEAN UP YOU'RE ON BACK DOOR THEN WORRY ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS HE HAS TO ANSWER TO GOD NOT YOU. YOU DON'T KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. DAVID IS A PART OF MY FAMILY SO I KNOW HOW HE GREW UP . THINK WHAT YOU MAY IT COULD BE YOU NEXT TIME."

Blaming, making excuses, all because we know the person arrested for the crime has become common in our society when a husband or an ex murders their spouse or significant other. Sorry but the friend or relative has not a clue about violence in the home or what a woman similar to Amy endures. And if you would like to send me nasty words in an email or on this blog I suggest you do your homework on my background, first.

When the tragedy was broadcast by the local media , a plea of sorts was sent out asking the public for any information they could provide in the case. Seems very clear cut to me. I was stumped as to what other information they [the police] are seeking? And this is what most of the news organizations asked: A motive for the crime was being investigated. Anyone with information should call the special crimes Tnit at 378-9468. The police are asking the public for a motive??? Again, you have the shooter, the weapon, and the body. Is there any question about that? If they are so concerned and wish to wast manpower begin by checking the police department phone call logs just two nights before the shooting. Didn't Amarillo Police respond to a domestic disturbance call at the home of the Yager's?

There are no room for questions, doubts or stone throwing in this case. It is simple. Jeffrey David Yager Murdered Amy Yager in cold blood.

Today, Amy was laid to rest. It is important to me as the daughter of a law enforcement officer who murdered his wife, and my mother, that changes on how these cases are handled, charged and reported come out of the stone age and into the twenty first century.

Stop sugar coating these cases at both the felony and misdeameanor level. Redirect how they are reported in the media. Train Officers to see the signs within their own units.

Amy Yager, and the thousands before her, did not have to die because someone demanded power and control over their lives.

There's your investigation summary!

Texas EquuSearch Needs Your Assistance

By: Susan Murphy-Milano

It has come to my attention that Hurricane Ike has done extensive damage to Texas Equusearch. On their Web site this evening it says: "Due to hurricane Ike the Texas EquuSearch headquarters have been severely damaged. Texas EquuSearch will resume its work as soon as we can recover from damage. Please stand by for further updates."

Many of the team members' homes are destroyed, including the horse barn and hay for the horses that so selflessly search for missing loved ones. Tim Miller has given so much over the years to the "community" of missing persons. If you don't know his story, please go the the website and read about his own losses.

The Texas Equusearch team can not do the job they have been called to do because of this devastation.

For crimes victims across the country, we must find a way to help get them back up and running.

On their website is a button for donations and they accept credit cards.

There is a great need for money to repair their motorhome, the base used to recover murder victims. Please consider donating what you can, even if it is only a few dollars. Let's give back some of the love and support Tim Miller has given to so many families of missing persons over the past twenty years.

Monday Morning Blood Bath as Chicago Officer Dannie Marchan Executes Family

Police stand guard at the scene where Chicago Police Officer Marchan and his two children were shot and their father then killed himself
BY: Susan Murphy Milano
Dannie Marchan, a Chicago Cop on the force just 4 years, executed his seven year old daughter Alizay Marchan, then shot his nine year old son who is in critcal condition fighting for his life.

Marchan, then turned the gun on himself committing suicide.

Is this yet another domestic related incident where a man was angry over the break-up of his family? Or a man who was violent wanting to get back at his estranged wife for wanting to move forward with her life.

The fact that Marchan was a Chicago cop makes it worse, using his police issued service revolved to kill his own children says a lot about who he was not as a man.

I am sure in the weeks and months to come, theories as to why this happened will sprinkle about the pages of newspapers as an unexplained and isolated tragedy.

But, it is far more than an isolated tragedy. It can be explained and it can be changed.

Is Jody Weiss the head of the Chicago Police Department ready for the answers?

I am hoping he is because seven year old Alizay Marchan's life should mean more than a brother in blue who "lost it" under his command.

When you ready to listen to solutions, Supt. Weiss, I am an email away.

Missing or Murdered? Where is Emillie Hoyt?

By Susan Murphy-Milano

Like most of the unexplained vanishing or missing cases, there are usually facts associated with a case, often missed by law enforcement.

Emiliee Hoyt, pictured about is no different. Prior to her vanishig she had ended an abusive relationship. No surprise, Emillie wanted nothing to do with her former boyfriend.

She was last seen in Ft. Lauderdale early in January of 2006. She had her problems like most young women her age, but she was moving forward. And that did not sit very well with her former boyfriend, who leave's a questionable path in a prior relationship himself. His former girlfriend, is dead. Till Death Do Us Part in the State of Arizona?

By: Susan Murphy Milano

The ink on the divorce papers were barley dry on March 6, 2003, when Gina Haskell of Gilbert Arizona divorced her husband of twenty years. Within a year Gina Haskell would change her name and become Gina Tapley. She married Michael Tapley from Snow Flake Arizona. Together they made their home on a forty acre parcel Michael had owned for a number of years prior to their marriage.Michael Tapley was a kind, gentle and simple man. He loved and lived his life to the fullest. Michael's passions were Lady his dog of ten years, his motorcycle and his pick-up truck.

Why am I telling you any of this? The family has asked us to spread the word.

Because Michael Tapley is not just missing, family and friends now believe he was murdered and the Snow-Flake Arizona Police Department refuse to look at important information that would arrest the person or person's responsible for his death.

Sadly, the law enforcement in Snow Flake is not equipped to properly investigate this case. So I thought along with others, we would get the ball rolling in the right direction. Numerous Internet missing have posted information and reached out for help, only to have doors slammed in their face by the local sheriff's office.

On February 15, 2008, Gina and Michael were reported missing. On or about March 1, 2008 Gina showed up back home, without Michael. Sometime during her trip Gina dropped off Michael's dog at her Mother's home. Michael never went anyplace without his dog, ever.

Gina and the dog did not get along, Michael would never have left lady with her.

On March 10, 2008 the one hundred and fifteen pound Gina arrived at the Snowflake Taylor Police Department on Main street and spoke with Officer Joseph Baca. The comments in the report are as follows:

"Gina Tapley walked into our lobby and requested to talk to an officer."

Officer Notes: "I was aware that she and Michael were reported missing and that NCSO was looking for them. I brought Gina into the training room and had her sit down and asked how I could help her. I sat and listened to Gina while waiting for a detective to arrive. Gina net with Detective Roger Stevens. There was an interview.
at 9:28:59 Disposition- CLOSED
.

Police closed the case on the missing couple and refused to open a missing persons or an investigation on Michael Tapley. Wow, they close the case because they do not have the man power and believe the lies that last person to see Michael alive was feeding them.

Have I mentioned that while this woman was married her husband filed two orders of protection against her?

Michael Tapley also petitioned the courts in Maricopa County, AZ for an order of protection on August 9, 2005. But, the couple reconciled and Michael dropped the action. Michael Tapley was preparing to divorce his hot tempered and abuser wife according to family and friends.

Gina's story is that while visiting her family she dropped Michael off at a casino. This also is not possible. In addition, police never checked Gina's handgun to see if it hand been recently fired. She was a fantastic shot. And the truck alleged important blood evidence on the bumpers and tire' s were removed and destroyed by the brother-in-law of Michael Tapley, who also happens to work at a tire store, according to sources.

On September 9, 2008, we are brining this case to the public on a new program called "Justice Interrupted". There are many disturbing details to this case that we will discuss.

The success of these cases depends on the public's assistance. If you can send email's, help with the search, post information on the Internet, it would be greatly appreciated. My email is contact@movingoutmovingon.com

To send an email asking for an investigation into this case we will begin with the Arizona State Police. Please send emails to RVanderpool@azdps.gov . Roger Vanderpool is the Director of the Arizona State Police. Or call 602-223-2365 and ask that someone please investigate the case of Michael Tapley.

Ten Years Later Murder Case Finally Solved

By Susan Murphy Milano
There is hope for unsolved cold cases, murders when law enforcement continue to work on a case, even after ten years.
Dawn Brossard was reported missing on Oct. 25, 1997, in Wisconsin.
Hardly a surprise that David Brossard, her estranged husband, was the last person to see Dawn alive. As in most of these cases where there is a pending divorce or abuse in the relationship, you don't have to look very far for the person responsible.

David at the time spoke with law enforcement acknowledging he spoke with Dawn in the parking lot of the State Financial Bank in Burlington, where she worked. Dawn's car was found locked in the parking lot.
In July 2003, nearly six years after Dawn was reported missing, recreational scuba divers found her body in the bottom of Geneva Lake, according to authorities
According to reports, the body was found in 120 feet of water, wearing the clothes she had on when she disappeared.
The keys to her car were in her pocket.
Investigators at the time said the body was held down by a weight and chain. Her hands were bound.
Sheriff's department investigators later revealed that they believed Dawn was murdered, but they declined to comment further at the time.
David offered to take a lie detector test and allowed police to search both their home and his truck, according to reports at the time, but the searches turned up nothing suspicious.
A New York City FBI team of 12 divers came to Williams Bay in September 2005 to help with the investigation.

Atlanta Georgia Judge Condone's Officer Murder?

BY SUSAN MURPHY MILANO

In Dekalb County Georgia last week, Judge Anne Workman allowed Former Dekalb County Sheriff Deputy Derrick Yancy to post bond and return home. This is difficult to comprehend after the murder of his wife Linda Yancey and a day laborer for whom he is accussed of murdering on June 9, 2008.

Did I mention that Yancey is a former corrections officer who escorted prisioners to and from lock up in the very same building for nearly seventeen years?

Where is Bill O'Reilly? He should be jumping all over this judge's behind. Judge Linda Workman has allowed Yancey to return home as he awaits for his trial. If this were anyone other than a law enforcement officer they would not receive bond.

In addition, the former sheriff is also taking care of the couple's 8-year old son. Family and friends are outraged at this politicial blunder.

In my opinion, it is likely Yancey will request a bench trial in his home away from home. He will possibly be acquitted by a friendly judge no doubt and be allowed to return to duty.

There is no justice when a system fails to follow the law.

In my expert opinion Judge Anne Workman needs to be removed from the bench where she has just slapped victims like Linda Yancey whose voices have been silenced because of an officer related murder.

As the daughter from a police officers family whose father murdered my own mother, I am outraged!
